We have pushed through mountains of turkey and sweet potato casserole to bring you this week’s episode, listeners!  Rich and I are occupying the same physical room for this week’s show, covering two topics: the role of digital audio workstations in modern music rendering, and a video-free unboxing of a Legion Go...LIVE and ON AIR. 

It is factual that mobile gaming is still gaming, and this week we’re playing with words in a whole new light as Rich and I trade mobile word games live!  Marvel fatigue also continues to be real, and a not-so-gentle reminder that iMessage is just better, and your faith is just not strong enough.

Is Star Trek too silly?  Does watching old people on TV suck?  Are drugs bad for you?  And how many emails are too many?  Rich and I attempt to answer these questions, but mostly have discovered that coffee is probably the answer to all questions, and if it isn’t, keep drinking boys and girls! After I traversed a nearly unhealthy amount of the Northeast this week, it’s time to settle down in front of a microphone and talk about portable gaming.  Rich regales us with a Legion of where handheld gaming can Go given enough sweat equity and kitchen sink.  And rich people towns have been measured and found wanting! In the spirit of Halloween (the original one, not the retail store), we’ve reanimated Rich over a dose of Nyquil and spooky Eagles green to get a quick and dirty podcast about a few things we’ve been watching and experiencing this past week.  Join us as we chat about assassins, baby stealers and scary writers, and maybe just a touch too much football.

After a brief and unexpected hiatus from the airwaves, we have returned to your weekly experience, dear listeners!  Our journey this week takes us through a pair of puzzle (and sometimes puzzling) games, a horror movie with Those Damned Kids in it, and a PS5 price increase, all leading to some commentary on Meta’s new VR/AR headset. 

There is little question that our world would be a fair bit better if it were filled with all assassins, all aliens or all pirates, but instead we have too many politicians.  Rich and I discuss The Continental, No One Will Save You, and One Piece on our media consumption tour, and take some time to meander about the 2nd Republican Debates, as well as a few moments on the WGA strike victory.

It is with great pains that I bring you the news of the week, gentle listenership – we're talking about Microsoft stuff for a whole damned hour!  Our topics du jour include a mammoth leak of pending plans for the Xbox division, a few notable announcements from the Tokyo Games Showcase, the Surface-but-totally-AI event in NYC this week, and a quick mention of ActiBlizzard fun.

It’s a double header of engrossing (or just grossing)content, as Rich and I discuss Beau Is Afraid along with this week’s full release of Bethesda’s Starfield.  We also briefly pause to give our reviews of soccer weather, Jackson Pollock paintings, and John Wick 4’s law enforcement problem, most of which are topics we are quite qualified to discuss!

Well met, Star Travelers!  We take to the cosmos this week on a path towards this week’s early access release of Starfield.  I spend a few moments exploring Nordic mythology in my review of Bramble: The Mountain King, and we stare dreamily into Idris Elba’s eyes while appreciating the romp that is Hijack.  And we’ve finally answered the question: are they gay? 

Back in the land of proper professional audio, Rich and I relish in the extraordinary headroom and high fidelity of good gear to bring you this week’s episode. We take a few moments to chat about Avatar 2, stop off in Cologne, Germany for Gamescom 2023, and express rage and disappointment at Sony stealing another of Microsoft’s moves.

Another week of jam-packed schedules and alternative methods of recording is in store for us all, but Rich and I managed to bring it all together!  With precious little media consumption time this week, I managed to eek out a viewing of Sisu, and Rich dances with angels and titans.  Also, as my son said so many years ago, “Texas is damned hot.”

May it always be said that we are here for the work!  Rich is in the field this week and recording amidst technical hurdles to bring you the best in podcasting entertainment!  We continue a bit of Star Trek Discovery banter, and explore which is more WTF: Somerville or The Black Tower. 

It's a week of Discovery here on the Interscription pod, full of learnings on the inner workings of our political systems in the United States, Cintra and Nilfgard. I finally crack into Star Trek Discovery, and a week of completed seasons of shows are discussed, culminating in a pine-e promise to watch the Barbie Movie before we reconvene.

This week’s particular stretch of podcast road is done LIVE and IN PERSON, with Rich and I winging it on bellies full of burger and brew.  Topics include just how zany Strange New Worlds can get, and a staggeringly deep dive on the form factors available to us on the new crop of foldable phones introduced at this year’s Samsung Unpacked 2023.

“I don’t WANT to play anymore”, so sayeth your favorite podcast hosts.  Today’s spirited interchange of ideas whisks us through being engaged in all the wrong places through social media.  We thankfully stop our rambling train at the station to discuss AI and its diabolical implications on artists, and a small visit to some games I’ve been playing to pass the time until the robots come.

A lawyer's work is never done, and this has never been more true for our beer-enjoying on-staff legal representative, Rich.  We delve into the totally-not-final ruling of Judge Corley on the FTC v. Microsoft PI hearing, and I bid adieu to a tale of a plague, while holding up the coffee end of The Dehydration Duo.

Rats! Another week, another Twitter competitor enters the chat here in the tech world. In a short-by-explosive episode, Rich and I tackle the multitude of potential usurpers to Elon's new 44 billion dollar toy, as well as a moment or two on stealth games and the inquisition.

It would be a fine time for Rich and I to escape to the virtual world amidst the second round of smokey skies this year, and a freshly damaged roof situation.  Stay awhile as Rich discusses the stunning scale of Norse mythology in Asgard’s Wrath, and I chat a bit about how gross medieval rats are.  Too, this week would not be complete without not-so-quick stop in court to see how fair and balanced...
