We live in scary and uncertain times, but today, in Pastor JD’s update, he reminds us that not everything is uncertain. God is unchanging and always good. Sometimes it feels like life couldn’t get any worse, and in the climate of today, it can feel hopeless. Don’t lose hope; hang on to the promises of God and take heart in knowing – He’s already won the war.

We have tendencies to rely only on ourselves – often being too prideful to ask for help. You can’t ignore important people and expect to have a close intimate relationship with them. So often, women especially, feel they have to work hard and look perfect to get others to notice or like them. It’s exhausting and never makes you feel truly valued. Pastor JD explains today that when you come to the Lord, you don’t have to earn his favor or work for him to love you. He loves you and wants you just as you are.

A lot of people think that, if Hell is real and people actually go there, then God must be heartless. But today, Pastor JD reminds us that Hell was created for Satan, not us. In fact, Jesus did everything He could possibly do to save us from having to go there. But you still have to make the choice of believing in Him.

We often view God in a bad light when we’re going through trials; it’s easy to blame it on Him. But have you thought about the alternative? Pastor JD reminds us today that sometimes, God sends us into a specific trial, in order to avoid a bigger, messier one. He has the best intentions for your life if only you’ll believe.
