This is my FINAL episode of 2023. It’s not like I had a bunch of them this year, but we are ending 2023 with a Bang. In this Episode, I talk about my first trip to Chicago in March of 2023 for an amazing conference called “A Dream Deferred.” I talk about how this trip change my paradigm around education, black excellence and jambalaya omelettes. It explores the struggles I had initially early on with everyone having degrees and I didn’t. But then I had an “ah ha” moment for the purpose of me being there and what I had to bring to the table that would impact the youth. It gets real!!!

This week, we saw a failure in our judicial system where a Black Woman named Breonna Taylor was shot dead in her sleep and the cops who did it were charged with shooting the wall and not her. This is an apology to Black Women from Black Men for us not making you feel safer out here. We will do better!

The main discussion point of this Episode is how I can wear my friends out through our conversations and how I’m learning to speak from a more from a healed place.

This is my first solo podcast. It’s short and sweet. In this Podcast, I discuss this past exhausting week for Black people from the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha to the collective grieving over the loss of Chadwick Boseman and how we bounce back from it.
