Forgiving biblically means we let go of what we think we are owed.

There are times when we fight alone and other times where we fight as a community of believers, but know that this battle is won in Jesus Christ.

The most important expression of the Holy Spirit’s work in our life is to change us from self-centered to others-serving followers of Jesus.

True change happens when we use our freedom in Christ not as an opportunity to satisfy our darker desires, but to live a Spirit-led life that reflects the beautiful life that Jesus lived.

Following Jesus can often feel frustrating or futile, but through the life of Peter we see what it looks like to have faith in Jesus and to follow him.

In Jesus we have a Savior who is with us, helping us through all of life’s difficult circumstances.

Summary: Jesus reveals to us through Peter that true discipleship is not defined by our failures but by our faith in his love and that those who love him will follow him to the end.

Jesus is the ultimate revelation to us that God is good and that he is for us, no matter what circumstances that we face in life.

At the heart of the Christmas story is the declaration that a King has been born. Each of us is invited to wrestle with what it means to live under his rule.

The gospel calls us to radically reconsider all our relationships, seeking to lift others up in the spirit of unity and love. This includes dismantling the walls of hostility that often exist between men and women.

As image-bearers of God, woman have full access to all positions of leadership in both society and the church.

No matter how powerful or popular we are, or strong and successful we look we all have the sickness of sin that will destroy us, even if we think we can hide it from others. But if we humble ourselves before God and trust His word by faith, we can experience healing and new life in Him.

As followers of Jesus, we’re called to embody the good news of the gospel that God’s kingdom has come to help the poor, claim justice and freedom for the oppressed, and to proclaim God’s favor on humanity.

Baptism can be transformational if we understand the spiritual reality that God is revealing to us through this physical re-enactment; that we are a new creation and Jesus is renewing His creation through his resurrection and his resurrected followers until he returns.

We place our faith in money because it promises us contentment, comfort and control, but God desires that we seek these things in Him because ultimately they can only be found in Him alone.

While there is a strong horizontal component to Christianity (our relationships with other humans), the central relationship is vertical. A thriving spiritual life requires that God himself be the central figure in our lives. Nowhere is this more prominently pictured than John's vision of the Throne Room of Heaven in Revelation 4.

 God calls us to widen our ring of friendship including those who we normally would not think to invite into our inner circle of love, care, and truth telling.

Our default posture is to hide our own failures while exposing the failures of others, but the first steps of true transformation happen when we understand God’s love and grace toward us.

By following Jesus' example of His love for us and actively demonstrating that to one another, others will recognize the true love of God
