Ikorodu is a bustling town sprawling on hills that border Lagos to the east. Over the last few decades, this contemporarily infamous district has welcomed residents across the state and country looking for a new place to call home. Layele and Lawal are two friends whose lives, from childhood to adulthood, have been encompassed by life in Ikorodu. However, in this new age where growth has become synonymous to exodus, their shared and distinct perspectives create a vital insight into the realities of a developing community, its charm and challenges, and why everyone's dream is to leave.
