I Think I Saw That
A podcast for movie lovers who want to relive the best movies... for the first time. Roger and Marcie are a happily married couple with a twist -- Roger remembers nearly everything about the movies he sees. Marcie... not so much, hence "I Think I Saw That". In each episode, we'll take a classic movie, see what Marcie remembers about the film and the year it came out, and then come back and chat about it after watching it with some lovely beverages. Enjoy!

Introducing: Three For The Show 01.01.2025 12:51
Here's another project from Roger! In this podcast, he and two other podcast friends share a new movie each month -- actually, a movie that two of them like very much and that is totally new to the third person. Episodes will be dropping on the third Monday of each month, so check it out! Hosts: Susan Hill, Todd Kehoe, & Roger Wistar Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/threefortheshow/ E...
Episode 9b -- The Fugitive (1993) POST-SHOW 08.08.2021 43:26
Even if you don't care who really killed Richard Kimble's wife, we're here to tell you that "The Fugitive" totally holds up as a thinking-person's action thriller. We really enjoyed the performances of all the ensemble in this movie -- not so much the amount of shouting, though. We pour one out for the last 20 years of Harrison Ford's career; let's just say that the 21st century has not been very...
Episode 9a -- The Fugitive (1993) PRE-SHOW 08.08.2021 31:20
We're back -- did you miss us? After a slight hiatus caused by our new podcasting project (currently Untitled Podcast Project, not yet available for download), we have returned for what will be a cycle of less frequent shows. Like maybe about one per month. Just enough to keep you coming back for more. And let me tell you, we've picked a fan favorite, 1993's action thriller "The Fugitive". Two act...
Episode 8b -- The Silence of the Lambs (1991) POST-SHOW 31.05.2021 1:03:09
And, we're back -- in two pieces, unfortunately. Roger's reference to the lost minutes of our T2 test episode proved eerily prophetic as we lost about 10 minutes of tonight's post-show as well. But we recovered with aplomb for some insightful analysis that you won't get anywhere else. Like, this movie is not for kids. No seriously, there was some fascinating conversation about the use of full-fram...
Episode 8a -- The Silence of the Lambs (1991) PRE-SHOW 31.05.2021 38:15
Are you about a size 14? Well this week's edition of I Think I Saw That certainly is! We're back with an action-packed set of episodes -- definitely our longest yet -- and that seems entirely appropriate for this cinematic masterpiece, 1991's "The Silence of the Lambs". In this pre-show episode, you can here many skillful impressions of both Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill by Roger, and you can a...
Episode 7b -- Crimson Tide (1995) POST-SHOW 17.05.2021 40:31
We've just enjoyed a scrumptious feast and a fabulous movie -- it's good to be offering mostly praise again. We enjoyed the performances and the action and adventure. Not so much the crazy Dutch angles, and the inordinate amount of sweat. How do they get so hot on an underwater submarine? The only person who should have gotten that wet was our man Rick Schroder, who really had to work hard to seal...
Episode 7a -- Crimson Tide (1995) PRE-SHOW 17.05.2021 35:02
In this episode, we watch a very fine movie... very fine! With very fine actors... very fine! On a very comfortable couch... very comfortable! While eating our dinner... the entire dinner! It's the 1995 geopolitical action thriller, Crimson Tide. It turns out that Marcie has quite a different movie in mind; one can only dream of the slasher movie she imagines with Gen...
Episode 6b -- Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) POST-SHOW 19.04.2021 37:26
And so we have both returned with a very lukewarm opinion of Austin Powers, although I hope that you dear readers will not find this episode similarly lukewarm. We both agree that the movie has perhaps not aged well, although there are still some humorous moments. We remember fondly the soundtrack, and Roger tries valiantly to rouse Marcie from cinema-induced slumber. I'm not going to lie -- much...
Episode 6a -- Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997) PRE-SHOW 19.04.2021 38:28
Well we're back! Did you miss us? Shout out to our dozen of listeners. We've returned with a vengeance... or maybe just a loud thud -- you'll have to listen and watch the movie to make your own judgments. There's a lot of tangent in this episode. Come and listen to the resolution of the Great Yogibo Debate, and also listen as we delve into the intricacies of the Rib-wich. There's a pretty grim qui...
Episode 5b -- The American President (1995) POST-SHOW 21.03.2021 37:14
Well, the hammer finally drops -- a movie that Marcie doesn't really love after all. Is it because the movie is too slight compared to The West Wing? Is it because Nervous Annette Bening is actually Annoying Annette Bening? Is it because Lucy Shepherd is wearing the same outfit as a blackjack dealer at Foxwoods? Only a careful listener will be able to discern what might make this movie not hold up...
Episode 5a -- The American President (1995) PRE-SHOW 21.03.2021 30:52
We're back only one week later! In celebration of our Yogi-versary (our fifth episode which allows us to buy our Yogibo chairs!), Marcie once again decides to take us down to Tangent Town before we watch the movie. Although she was on a tight schedule, she managed to lead us on a tour of Roger's wardrobe, The West Wing, our experience with making illegal hooch, and other fascinating topics. We tal...
Episode 4b -- Office Space (1999) POST-SHOW 14.03.2021 38:09
Now that we have watched the movie Office Space, let us meditate on many things. Roger regales us with his tales of living the Office Space life during his year at IBM Global Services. We ponder the magnificent mess that is Jennifer Aniston's hair and wonder why her career has essentially gone into hibernation for the last decade or so. We also ruminate on the many meme-worthy moments of this movi...
Episode 4a -- Office Space (1999) PRE-SHOW 14.03.2021 39:10
We're back -- did you miss us! Roger and Marcie return for our not-fifth episode (sorry Marcie, you are so close to your Yogibo!) Join us for this pre-show as we launch into a wild series of tangents including kayaks, The Office, Peach Schnapps, and many, many other things as Marcie tries to divert us from the task at hand. We eventually turn our attention back to Mike Judge's cult com...
Episode 3b -- Casino Royale (2006) POST-SHOW 21.02.2021 40:45
OK, we're back! Now that we've watched the movie, we'll talk about both the lovely Daniel Craig and the equally lovely Eva Green. In between, we'll settle our bet from the pre-show and also talk about why neither one of this feels this movie would be appropriate for our two boys. Here's a hint: mutilating torture. Roger and Marcie both struggle valiantly to keep Marcie awake, so the only question...
Episode 3a -- Casino Royale (2006) PRE-SHOW 21.02.2021 43:10
Welcome to the first half of this week's podcast! Based on the length of the two previous shows, we've decided to break up this week's movie into two episodes, neatly divided into the part that we recorded before the movie and the part after the movie. In both parts, we will be talking about an iconic James Bond film, 2006's Casino Royale. We will talk a bit about Mr. Craig (Daniel!), and in this...
Episode 2 -- When Harry Met Sally (1989) 15.02.2021 1:43:20
Welcome to our sophomore effort of "I Think I Saw That", where Marcie and Roger dig into one of the iconic romantic comedies that really defined the genre, "When Harry Met Sally". Somehow even though the movie was much shorter, the podcast turned out to be longer. Perhaps romantic comedies provoke a little more thoughtful conversation. Listen to us opine about the necessary elements of a successfu...
Episode 1 -- Clear and Present Danger (1994) 07.02.2021 1:12:12
Welcome to Episode 1 of our new podcast, "I Think I Saw That". Listen to happily married couple Roger and Marcie Wistar share their love of movies and each other in their own unique way. Roger remembers nearly everything about the movies that he has seen. Marcie, not so much... and thus the title of this podcast is born. In this episode, Roger and Marcie revisit the classic action thriller C...
