I Just Want To Talk About Star Trek

Kiernan gets Mike to rewatch the seventh season DS9 epsiode "Take Me Out to the Holosuite." Mike had mixed feelings about it 25 years ago, but through his son's enjoyment, finds new love for baseball!

Mike is haunted by the parable of the Frog (Fox?) and the Scorpion that he heard years ago in the third season episode of Star Trek: Voyager. But as he watches the episode and researches the parable (fable), his world slowly unravels! The Doctor (Kim Miller) and Crewman Jason do NOTHING to help him!

Mike's concern with present day issues sparks him to rewatch the classic episode The Drumhead. He finds both troubling and encouraging similarities to our current social and political climate. But he also makes a surprising connection to recent events in his own life.

The biggest news in a long time dropped this weekend at the Star Trek Convention in Vegas. Mike, The Doctor and Jason discus Patrick Stewart's epic reveal that he's returning to the role that defined a generation of Star Trek. PLUS! A deep dive into the Aladdin music for kids! AND!
