Sam King and Jess Curtis
I Hear You
Sam King and Jess Curtis don't profess to be experts on all things... but they do have some thoughts on the matter. Through years of friendship and hours of voice notes, they have covered just about every topic - from being neurospicy, being queer, social injustices, what could be the meaning of existence, to body image, why kids won't listen to us and nervous poos. They are people that share the small stuff and the big stuff. Through it all they carry a firm belief - through shared stories and shared connections we find healing. No rough drafts xMade on Kaurna Land.

Ep19 - Unmasking Coercive Control & Cultivating Respectful Relationships with Dave Kramer 01.11.2024 55:04
Our young boys and men have inherited a sexist culture that harms girls and women. They didn't create it, they're not responsible for it, but they did inherit it, and they are responsible for and in control of what they do with it. They have a conscious choice to make. Will they continue to contribute to a culture that is unsafe for women, or will they commit to creating a culture that is safe for...
Ep18 - Feeling Stuck 26.10.2024 30:17

Ep10 - Misinformation in Media is Harmful. 07.08.2024 37:13
Cheeky little mid-week ep, triggered by the media controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif. READ: Imane is NOT the controversy, the behaviour of everyday humans vilifying her is. CONTENT WARNING - This ep contains discussions about suicide and death. We're discussing controversial opinions! Here's some potentially odd things we think: - If you still hang out with the same group of friends that you've had since high school, I'm doubting your emotional growth - A formal education should not be a requirement for most jobs - Euthanasia should be available for s...

Ep6 - When is Trauma Big Enough to be called Trauma? 15.07.2024 54:31
Comparative suffering is defined by leading shame researcher and author Brene Brown as "ranking our suffering against that of others, which is then used to either deny or give ourselves permission to feel". Do you deny yourself permission to feel (and heal), by dismissing your own experiences of suffering as "not that bad?". Are you fearful of feeling like a victim? This is a l...

Spoiler alert (but an obvious one): we are all for knowing yourself better. And if a...
Ep4 - Embracing the Duality of Life 03.07.2024 29:35
Giving ourselves permission to feel ALL of our feelings, can be HARD! As human beings, we contain multitudes.
