I Finally Watched...

This film is a high paced crime movie, that's just slightly into the noir genre, but do the accents make it boring? And should it even be called Fargo? These are the tough questions we try to answer here on IFW! Starring William H. Macy, Frances McDormand, and Steve Buscemi. 

This is gonna be our last Scorsese film for awhile, but what a movie! Casino really hit all the marks of a classic gangster film, but the ultimate question is ... Is it better than Goodfellas? Starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone!

In a world where Ryan Reynolds is a loser, Chris Klein is the cool guy, and Anna Faris is the annoying one ( wait... maybe that's normal) Welcome to Just Friends, a comedy where a loser comes back to his hometown to win over his highschool crush, but can he get out of the shadow of just being friends?

Usually one would have a US film trying to cater to International audiences, but not with The Great Wall! It's an international film trying to cater to a US audience by starring Matt Damon... AND Willem Dafoe. Maybe something went amiss? Directed by Yo-Mou Zhang, who also directed House of Flying Daggers and Hero.

Watching one of Bong Joon-ho's first films ( His second one) And it's an absolute masterpiece! If you like crime, mystery thrillers and any of Joon-ho's films, like Parasite, then buckle up folks! You're in for a treat!

This is definitely one of those movies that you've heard of, but never thought to watch, because lets be honest... Michael Clayton doesn't sound like an exciting film! But it is... its great! And it has George Clooney in it!

Another Alexander Payne comedy, starring Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick. Election takes you down the seedy political road of high school and the affairs that take place along with it! But all around its a pretty funny film!

Alexander Payne has an interesting filmography, but Sideways is probably one of his funniest and most down to earth films. Check it out, cause we did and weren't disappointed! Starring Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church, and Sandra Oh

The second Best Picture Oscar winner we are going over this month is Gladiator! Starring Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix. Underrated or overrated? I think this movie gets just the right amount of attention, definitely deserved to win Best Picture!

Don't get me wrong, we loved this movie (Some more than others) So don't ask me how we got on a tangent about Jean-Claude Van Damme's Bloodsport! Rain Man stars Tom Cruise, in one of his most jack-ass roles, and Dustin Hoffman, in one of his most convincingly incredible roles.

From the director that brought you In Bruges, comes Seven Psychopaths! Colin Ferrell, Sam Rockwell, and Woody Harrelson star as absolute psychos in this witty, but off the wall dark comedy! 5/5 would watch again!

Natalie Portman! Oscar Isaac! And by the same director as Ex Machina! You know you're in for one hell of a sci-fi film! Plot-wise or metaphorically, it's a great movie no matter how you splice it!

Going back to our indie roots, we watched and reviewed Beginners, an Ewan McGregor and the late Christopher Plummer film. Beautifully crafted, it was an unexpected treasure that we loved dearly.

Rounding out the final part to our Ocean trilogy, Ocean's Thirteen! We bring in Ashley, David's wife, for her debut here at I Finally Watched...
