I Finally Watched...

You're Next (2011) has been one of the funnest times I've had in awhile watching a horror film! It really turns the horror genre on it's head and is all around a fun watch! We hope you have fun listening to our enjoyment of the film as we talk all about the plot, characters, moral decisions and behind the scenes stuff about this movie! Directed and edited by Adam Wingard, written by Simon Barrett...

This is possibly one of our most recently released films we've ever done, but our rule is at least 3 years from release date, so we reviewed The Lighthouse (2019) Batman and the Green Goblin go through mental turmoil with each other... or are they the same person?? Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe bring you a horror/drama like no other! Directed by the guy who brought you The Witch, Robert Eggers...

The Evil Dead (1981) is a stand alone film that spawned a whole lotta movies. Not to be confused with its slightly more popular film Evil Dead 2 and its sequel Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell at his most serious and Sam Raimi brings it with their feature debut! Without this we would never get Spider-Man or Multiverse of Madness!

No one asked for us to do Super Dark Times (2017) But sometimes you just do something you want to do for yourself... or in this case David's. And well, this is not a horror movie, it is a suspenseful one and a very good film at that I might add! We also now have a theme song intro and outro in our episodes now, provided to us by the very talented Jesse Jace Thomas, where you can find more of their...

We are just really milking our sci-fi/horror genre with our newest episode, Event Horizon (1997) It was going to be Friday the 13th, but we'll save that one for next year! Its Event Horizon's 25th anniversary this year and some of the film has held up however, others haven't and we explore mainly the ones that haven't! Starring Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, and Kathleen Quinlan. Directed by Paul...

Which was was better? Which was scarier? Do you even consider this film horror? We liked Aliens (1986) but was it better than the first? An why was Bishop the best character?! We dive deep, like space deep , like cry-freeze 57 years later deep and review this mother of an Alien film! Oh and James Cameron directed this one, not Ridley Scott!

A couple of these going on here! 1st of all happy almost spooky month, and here at IFW we like to celebrate early! Consider Alien (1979)a smooth transition to our unofficial Sci-fi run into our horror run starting in September and going all the way into the end of October! We have some very exciting episodes coming up and starting off strong with this one! Enjoy!

So many space movies, so little time! 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) in man opinion is height Kubrick and one of my all time favorites! Amazing to come out with something so ambitious a year before humans go to the moon! The movie is a epic science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick. The screenplay was written by Kubrick and science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke, and was inspire...

Interstellar (2014) is stellar! It has everything going for it, a great cast, great acting, an impactful and ambitious story, and beautiful cinematography... yeah that pretty much it... I don't have anything to say negatively about the movie at all! Starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, and Jessica Chastain... maybe Matt Damon is there too.

I HAVE A NEED... A NEED FOR SPEED!!!  Maverick, Iceman , and Goose and David and Alain love this film!!! It maybe a little cheesy 80s flick now but slap on those aviators and that super cool jacket Tom Cruise wears in that one scene on the motorcycle and listen to our episode on Top Gun (1986)

Pirate Radio or The Boat That Rocked, call whatever you like, but it doesn't stop it from being an awesome film with a great cast! Like a lot of things from Britain moved to the US of A, it becomes a little less awesome and this is what happened to The Boat That Rocked (2009) It got a title change and about 30 minutes of footage cut from it, also there's a nude scene that got cut too, so point pro...

HEY YOU GUYSSS!!!! We have a very special episode for you today where we talk about everyone's favorite child adventure film, The Goonies (1985) And on todays episode we have a very special guest from Netflix's Fuller House, Michael Campion!!!! We talk to Michael about one of his favorite films and his experience as a child actor and comparing it to these child actors of the 80s!!

This is a cartoon of a movie where there are no rules and lives don't matter, welcome Wet Hot American Summer (2001). Starring Michael Showalter, Marguerite Moreau, Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper and Elizabeth Banks. Two reasons we did this film, 1. It has the word Summer in it and 2. Because its funny!

For me, THIS FILM is the juice! AND I've got my head ALL THE WAY UP IT! Jokes aside, this film is awesome and if there was a 6 hour version of Heat (1995) I would watch that and it's pacing would only feel 3 hours long anyways! Starring Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, and a young Val Kilmer!

Finally did it! And honestly I should be put in cinema jail for waiting this long, but I finally watched Jaws (1975) I had good reason for waiting this long! But welcome to July, our summer movie month! Now its and interesting theme this month because while all the films have something to do with summer, it doesn't have to do with summer in the usual way! Here's all of our movies coming up; Heat (...

The completion of Tarantino films is now! This was very meaningful to us because Tarantino is one of our favorite directors and now we can say we watched all of his films! This episode is jam packed with fun facts, top 10 list and a lot of opinions! Please enjoy our episode on Tarantino's 8th film, The Hateful Eight (2015)

Our third Tarantino installment is a weird one. So back in 2007 he and Robert Rodriguez got together to direct and write a double feature and although we did watch both Grindhouse films and we did talk about Planet Terror, our main focus was on QT's Death Proof (2007)! And if you want to support us, we now have a Buy Me A Coffee account: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ifinallywatched

Second installation to our Tarantino Month comes a bit of a lesser known project of his, Four Rooms (1995) A collaboration of four different directors stitching together the adventure of Ted The Bellboy as he visits four very different rooms on New Years Eve. And if you want to support us, we now have a Buy Me A Coffee account: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ifinallywatched

Starting off our Tarantino Month strong with his underrated Neo noir film, Jackie Brown (1997). Love it or hate it, this underrated stoner film is a brutal addition to his repertoire! Starring Pam Grier, Samuel L Jackson, Robert De Niro and Michael Keaton! And if you want to support us, we now have a Buy Me A Coffee account: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ifinallywatched

The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (2005) isn't a direct adaptation to the books... or the radio play... or the tv show, however its a ton of fun with a great cast! And what can go wrong by starting the movie with a musical sung by dolphins! WE HAD A FAB TIME REVIEWING THIS FILM!

"A car thief is forced to steal 50 luxury vehicles in one night" sounds like the plot to Fast X, but its actually a Nicholas Cage film from 2000. Gone in 60 Seconds also stars Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall, Timothy Olyphant is also in this. This is not a film we wanted as 30 year olds in 2022, but it is when we were 14 in 2000.

Which Cameron Diaz movie was your sexual awakening?? For David it was The Mask, but for 6 year old Alain, it was There's Something About Mary (1998) Starring Cameron Diaz, Ben Stiller, and Matt Dillon. There are obvious jokes that didn't hold up in this film, but we still found ourselves laughing our franks and beans off during some parts of it!

Who's Harry Crumb? (1989) or a better question is who made this movie?? Starring John Candy, Annie Potts, and Jeffrey Jones, this film is about a detective who is very much a buffoon. This movie did not age well, I say that but looking at the ratings it got when it came out, it might have aged the same way!

God I love this film! L.A. Confidential (1997) fits right into everything I love about movies; it's dark, gritty, mysterious and most importantly its crime/crime (which apparently is a genre of film) We break down the movie and talk about each of its wonderful characters! Starring Russell Crowe ; Guy Pearce ; James Cromwell ; David Strathairn ; Kim Basinger ; Danny DeVito

We are so sad to hear Bruce Willis retiring from acting, he has had such a great career and now we feel a little bad about making fun of some of his role choices over the past few years, HOWEVER in honor of him we are looking back at one of the best of his career and M. Night Shyamalan's, Unbreakable (2000). We appreciate a good hero origin story and Shyamalan created such an original concept with...
