Jesus announced in his ‘manifesto’ that he had come to serve the poor and he calls us to do the same

How real are we? Are we truthful about life's struggles, or do we try and present a Christianity that is polished, perfect, but ultimately false?

Is our message relevant in our current culture?

How responsive are you to the Holy Spirit? Are you fully open to how God wants to use you, or are there 'no go' areas in your life?

What sets Christianity a part from society? What makes us stand out? We learn some lessons from the early church on how we can be distinctive in society without separating ourselves from it.

How are we going to make church happen going forward? Well lets look at how the original church was born, and see how that inspires us going forward.

The WHAT? What’s our next steps as a church coming out of this pandemic? What will church look like / change as a result of what we’ve learnt over these past 12 months? How can we re-launch rather than just re-start?

The church is made up of individuals - different shapes and sizes, all with different gifts, and yet all one in Christ. So who are we at HBC? What do we value, and what do we want to become together?

Why do we exist as a church? The answer is found in seven words - to help people find and follow Jesus. So as we return to physical services, are we prepared to rise up and do what is required to make that happen?

Habits are so hard to break because they are the scaffolding that holds our life together. They are often foundational to who we are and how we live, and therefore attempts to break them are often unsuccessful. And yet, those habits that hold us in bondage can be broken through practice and hard work, but most importantly through the power of the Holy Spirit.
