The path to God's plan often looks a certain way. As we kick off the New Testament in our Let There Be Light journey through Scripture, Pastor Skip Allen tells the Christmas story of Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus. Even when things didn't go the way he planned, he was willing to follow God into the greatest adventure of his life.

In our last week of the journey through the Old Testament, Pastor Skip Allen teaches from its final book. As God declares to His people that through the whole story, He has loved them, they doubt and challenge His love. Soon, His love will have a name and a face, but not before 400 years of silence.

God doesn't promise that we'll never go through the fire, but He does promise that He'll be there with us when we do. Faced with preaching to a nation holding worship services while ignoring injustice, the prophet Micah gives the command to the people of Israel of what the Lord requires of them. May we be a church that does justice, loves mercy, and walks humbly with our God.

As we continue through our chapter on the time of the Prophets, Pastor Skip Allen introduces us to Daniel. In week 3 of The Exodus, Pastor Skip Allen preaches on the famous story of 10 saying "no," and two saying "go." (Maybe you've heard the song before). Ultimately, our refusal to trust that God is who He says He is can lead us to years of wandering, and missing out on the plans He has for us. But God remains faithful, even if we don't.

God had freed them from slavery. The people were gone from Egypt. You'd think everything would be easy now, but it wasn't. Pastor Jeremy Peeler preaches on the Israelites life and struggles after Egypt, and how their wandering goes to show God's ultimate grace.

As we move out of the book of Genesis and into the story of the Exodus, we pick up on the life of Moses, a man who God had chosen to use in powerful ways, much like He wants to do with us. However, also like us, he tried to give many excuses as to why he couldn't be used. Pastor Skip Allen teaches through God's responses to these obstacles we put up.

Pastor Kenny Hall wraps up the story of Genesis by looking at the legacy left from Abraham to Joseph, and how we can see the Gospel through it all.

The story of the flood is one that demonstrates the whole story: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, and Christ. In week 3 of The Beginning, the first chapter of the story, Pastor Jeremy Peeler teaches through the story of Noah, and how it points to the deliverance Christ will one day bring to all of creation.
