Hometown Heroes

This week’s Hometown Hero is Buffalo, NY’s Aaron Moore. He’s offering young adults paid internships to serve the Kingdom of God in the “Queen City.” BUMP

This week’s Hometown Hero is Roger Woodruff of Hartsville, NY. He’s started a “traveling chapel” to collect Christian literature to send to the mission field, all over the world.

This week’s “Hometown Hero” is Corning, NY’s Deborah Chucoski. She’s a world-class triathlete despite being nearly blind.

This week’s Hometown Hero is Chris Carpenter of Canastota, NY. She’s started Rahab Refuge Ministries, central New York’s first-ever safe house for sex trafficking victims.  

This week’s Hometown Hero is Jim Harden of Rochester, NY. His group CompassCare is helping to eliminate the need for abortion in the “Empire State.”

Today’s Hometown Hero is Elmira, NY mayor Dan Mandell, a world champion power lifter who’s putting the “muscle” back in public service.

This week’s Hometown Hero is Rae Goodman with One Little Meal. Her group is providing free housing to vets in need.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Kim Paul from Sayre, Pennsylvania. She’s helping bridge the gaps of life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Andrew Bennett from Clarence, New York.  He’s changing lives by placing “at-risk” kids on farms.

This weeks “Hometown Hero” is Pat Vaccaro from Scranton.  She’s using therapy dogs to help college kids cope with COVID and with life.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Karl Hoyer from Syracuse, NY.  He’s using a personal tragedy as an opportunity to reach others for Christ. Arise Event

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Bob Barnes from Syracuse, New York.  He’s on a little bike ride to every state capital across America!

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Hannah Burke from Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  This high school senior is feeding the hungry in her community.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Yvonne McCaslin from Bellefonte, PA. Her “Rising Hope” therapeutic horse riding center is connecting “hearts” and “hooves.”

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Deborah Tangelder from Clarence Center, New York. She runs a business where the goal isn’t to make money, it’s to give it away.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Mark Henery from Towanda, Pennsylvania. He’s helping change lives, one home at a time. Hezekiah’s Hands

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Maureen Hackett from Gorham, New York. She runs a food pantry that’s helping the less fortunate in Ontario County.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Dave Budz from Buffalo.  His “OpOverwatch” ministry is helping police officers deal with the stresses of their job.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Sheryl Bruni from Pulaski, New York. This former homeless woman is now helping those in need with food, clothes, and medical supplies.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Peggy Austin from Yorkshire, New York. She runs “The Trading Post.” It’s a one-stop-shop for those in need.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Josh Beers from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He’s helping kids make sense of the world, “One Life” at a time.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Michael Nixon from Jamestown, New York. He’s spending the new year in Nepal to reach others for Christ.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Randy LeBaron from Albion, New York.  His Go Scatter ministry is meeting folks where they are: in the middle of a pandemic and right before Christmas.

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Eric Johns from Buffalo. He’s living homeless on purpose all this week to help those in need in the “Queen City.”

Today’s “Hometown Hero” is Marissa Conrad from Buffalo. This sophomore at Cedarville University is touching hearts and souls, without any hands.
