Ephesians 6:16,17 First we must put on truth, righteousness, and the gospel of peace.  Paul then challenges us to focus on salvation to protect our thinking.  We focus on God's Word to defeat Satan when he attacks.  We stand solid on our faith in Christ alone. 

Ephesians 6:10-15 - The Christian life is a battleground.  We are surrounded by an unseen world that is fighting for our hearts and minds.  Paul challenges us to stand firm with truth, righteousness, and our security in Christ and the gospel.  The world must see Christ in our lives as we walk in the path that God has laid out for us this week.  May they see Christ in Us this week.

Ephesians 5:21-33 - As Paul begins to talk about relationships, He reminds us that Christ is involved and we must look to serve others and focus less on ourselves.  As married couples we need to love and submit to one another so that we demonstrate Christ's love to us and the church's obedience to Christ.  We show the world what marriage was intended to be.   

Ephesians 5:15-20 - Paul concludes the concept of walk in love and light by challenging us to walk carefully.  He reminds us that we are surrounded by opportunities every day.  We must make the most of them by walking daily by God's spirit.  God should control our lives and direction our paths according to His will and plans for our life. Make the days count.  

Luke 2:8-20 - The angels announced the birth of Jesus to the world.  God started with shepherds and the word spread from there.  God was no longer distant but came to be "God with us" (or me).  Jesus was a personal God who wants a personal and real relationship with you.  He is a gift you must receive.  

Matthew 1: 18-25 - The Christmas story is the story of a God who dwelt with us to make a way for us to be saved.  Christmas is not about religion, ritual or rules.  It is about a God that came to end the separation between you and Him.  He provides salvation as a gift.  All you have to do is accept His gift and make Him your savior.  

Matthew 1:1-16 The genealogy of Jesus Christ reminds us that Jesus is surrounded by history, not just mystery.  His background is one of common people who have an extraordinary heritage.  These people teach us that the Christmas story is a story of Faith, Hope, and Love.  Ultimately it is about Jesus being the king of your life and mine.    

Ephesians 5:8-14 Paul challenges the believers to walk as Children of Light.  We are to be in the world, but not of the world.  We are to impact the world rather than have the world impact us.  Our challenge is to reflect the light of Christ to those around us.

Ephesians 5:3-7 Paul's reminds us to act in ways that reflect the moral standards that God has established.  In our actions and our words, we are to reflect God.  Thankfulness is a key to becoming the mature Christians God desires for us to become.  May your presence be refreshing to the people God brings into your life this week.

Ephesians 4:32 - We put on kindness, compassion and forgiveness as God's children.  We do not forgive because we feel like forgiving, we forgive because we have been forgiven.  Forgiveness is setting someone free and finding out person set free is yourself

Ephesians 4:30,31 - Paul encourages us to not grieve the Holy Spirit.  Grieving the Holy Spirit is not about us hurting God, it is about a God who hurts for us. The best check of our heart is to look at our speech.  Our speech is a reflection of what is happening within our hearts.  We must be honest with ourselves in order to change our speech from the inside out.  

Ephesians 4:28, 29 - As Christians, we walk differently and we talk differently.  This week you have an opportunity to be generous or to be stingy.  You have an opportunity to build up people with your words or tear them down.  God wants us to put off the old and put on the new.  As we do that, God is glorified and people are ministered to with grace and truth.  

Ephesians 4:25-27 - As believers, we stop lying and become people of truth.  We speak the truth in a loving way.  We get angry at the right things and allow our anger to be a springboard to deal with righteous issues.  We are not known as people of anger, but as people who love righteousness and God.  

Ephesians 4:22-24 - As believers, we are to think and act differently from the world.  This requires constantly "putting off" the old way of thinking and acting.  Instead, we act differently and "put on" the new man.  We display God's  workmanship in our lives.  We walk as people of the way, representing God's truth as we live.  

Ephesians 4:17-21 - We are reminded that God expects us to be different from the world.  We are not better, but we do have a better way of living.  We live with tender hearts to the purpose, direction, and leading of God.  We must guard our thinking and hearts and keep them sensitive to the things of God.

Ephesians 4:14-16 - God desires and demands that we grow as believers.  This is a slow but progressive process.  We learn and apply God's truth to our lives and speak the truth in a loving way to others.  We center our lives on what Christ desires for us and involve ourselves in helping others grow.  We work together in serving God. 

Ephesians 4:11-13 - When God saved you, he also gifted you. He has a place in the body that is specifically designed for you to fill. It is your job to discover that gift and allow God to use you to grow His church. Ephesians 4:7-10 - We are reminded of 2 gifts God has given to us. Our salvation and the ability to serve God in a unique way. It is our responsibility to seek the way that God wants to use us as we serve God by serving others.
