Nehemiah 11,12 - God loves people and they are important to Him. He is willing to use anyone who wants to be obedient and allow God to work through them. We are each to use our talents, gifts, and resources so that the world can see Christ in us. As we serve others, them will see the God we represent. Let God use you as a minister this week to proclaim to the world that Our God Reigns!

Nehemiah 9 - We must learn to acknowledge that all we have comes from God. We need to acknowledge our past and evaluate the things we have learned on our journey in life. We need to break the cycle of things that do not please God and implement a life of things that Honor God. We must sget serious about our relationship with God and put Him at the center of all we do.

Nehemiah 8:9-18 - We are challenged to allow God and His Word to be the source of our life and joy in spite of circumstances. This world is temporary and the struggles, difficulties, and hardships are also temporary. They produce a far more important role in eternity than we will ever realize when we view this world from an earthly perspective.

Nehemiah 8:1-8 - We have been given and incredible treasure in being able to have the Word of God. May we read it and apply it to our lives each day. As we grow in our knowledge of God, we grow in our relationship with Him if we apply His teaching to our lives.

Nehemiah 7:6-73 God is faithful and people matter to God. he desires a relationship with each of us, but not all are confident of their standing before God. It is our responsibility to make sure God is our Savior and our names are written in His book of Life.

Nehemiah 7:1-3 - Nehemiah starts to refocus the people back to worship. He makes it the first priority of this new city. He then puts leaders in place who set an example for the people and us. God wants us to be faithful and love Him with all out heart. He wants us to realize the need for boundaries to keep us safe from the enemy and allow us the freedom to grow into the people He desires for us t...

Nehemiah 6:10 - 19 - Satan attacks Nehemiah to compromise and focus on saving himself first. Nehemiah is obedient to God and His word without regard to his own life. He finished the work God has called him to do, but Satan continues to work. Nehemiah takes the high road and protects those God has called him to serve. Nehemiah 6:1-9 - Nehemiah reminds us that Satan works to hinder our life and ministry. He often tries to change our focus. He gets others to question our motives. It is only through focus, discernment, and a strong dependence on God that He can be defeated in our lives.

Rosh Hashanah Leviticus 23:24 - As you start a new year, may you get rid of things that are not helping you in Christian walk. May you learn to appreciate each day as a sweet gift from a loving God. May you live a life today that has no regrets when you stand before your God. May you be inscribed for a good year.

1 John 3:16 / John 3:16 - God's love was demonstrated to us in the Christmas story. The reason that we love God is because He first chose to love us. It is a great mystery that God loves us, but His love enables us to love others. The world needs to see God's love manifest in our lives.

Isaiah 7:14 - The Virgin Birth reminds us of a God who was willing to do the seeming impossible. He provided a way to come as Immanuel - God with Us. Our challenge is to accept, love, and worship Him in our words and actions.

John 1 / Philippians 2 = The incarnation reminds us that God loves us enough to humble himself to come to us. He models what it looks like when God walks among mankind. He shows us and challenges us to live for Him in a fallen world.

Genesis 2 / Ephesians 5 - Marriage is sourced in God. It is something that God honors and is something that is dear to the heart of God. Marriage is a picture of our salvation in Christ and a reminder that God loves us and gave Himself for us. As we honor and celebrate marriage today we also honor and celebrate our relationship with Christ.

Joshua 4 - We see to honor the past, but not live in the past. As we journey through life, we establish markers (stone of remembrance) to celebrate and remember what God has done. We use those markers to teach others who come behind us and honor all God has done in our lives.

Acts 2:42 - 27 years ago - a small group gathered trusting God to use them. They focused on some very simple things Reaching their community for Jesus and teaching people how to apply the Bible to their lives. They wanted to encourage one another and pray for one another. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Change is difficult, but a necessary part of life. We need to work with others to be the person that God wants us to be. Don't allow yourself to get focused on comfort and ease and neglect the change that God wants to accomplish in your life.

Nehemiah 5:14-19 - Nehemiah illustrates what a good leader should be. He leads by serving and setting an example. He sacrifices to help others. he desires that God pay attention to what he has done and the reasons he has done it. He lives his life for the approval of one (God).

Nehemiah 5a - Nehemiah helps us understand that conflicts must be confronted and resolved. Serious problems will not solve themselves. You need to take the time to work on them before they grow. We need to remember that our money, our time, and our talents are resources to be used to further the work of God in this world.

Nehemiah 4c - We see a people who would not be intimidated by the enemy. They prepared themselves to fight when they needed to fight. They also worked to build something that would help their future. They demonstrated to us what People of God look like - ready for a battle or a trumpet, clothed in the righteousness

Nehemiah 4 - When Satan cannot defeat you from without, he attacks from within. Exhaustion, discouragement, fear will start to become your focus. Refocusing on the Lord and your purpose will help you overcome the battle from within.

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those that Mourn - Stop and ask yourself what do you value? What is really important this week? Be honest about your grief and allow others to help. When you are pulled in the direction of bitterness, make sure you turn closer to God and not farther away. * This is an adaption of a Rick Warren series I preached back in 2000

Nehemiah 4 - Satan will oppose anyone who seeks to live boldly for God. Allow God to use the opposition to strengthen you and clarify your focus and resolve. Trust God, but always be on guard for the enemy who will seek to destroy you this week.

Nehemiah 3 - God saved us to share the gospel with others. In order for His kingdom to go forward, we must be about the work of serving him. It involves all of serving where He has put us and with willing hearts and hands

Nehemiah 2:9-20 - God uses Nehemiah to show us the value of humility, planning, action, vision, faith, and trusting God. He teaches us the importance of leadership and boldness in the face of opposition. He shows us the type of person God uses to accomplish great things for God. We need these things in our lives as well.
