A discussion of the rational behind relics and the relationships of Feudalism. Also an interesting comparison of work today and work in the Middle Ages.

This is a look at the spiritual perspective of folks in the Middle Ages. After talking about life being dominated and enveloped by Christianity . We discuss the organization of the church as well as relics and even demons and witches.

We begin the year with an attempt to begin to get into the mindset of the Middle Ages. We introduce Feudalism and talk about how one became a knight; along with some other things.

As we begin to change millennia in our HIStory we do a quick overview of those 1000 years (!!!) covered in Episodes 25-74. Next Episode Release will be in the first few days of 2023. Turn on your notifications!

After a mystery bag reveal and some funny stories, we get to the content (about minute 14.) We discuss knowledge in the Middle Ages and introduce the Islamic Golden Age. Then....the Vikings arrive!

(After a Wordle and cheating discussion) we return to Charlegmane and begin to discuss the emergence and creation of "Christendom." An important point we address is the influence of Augustinian thought on the the thought of the Middle Ages and in particular Charlemagne. Significantly we still see this shaping power of Christendom in our culture today.
