The plan, the gear, the skins - hikenpod Montana 03.02.2024

In this episode, I discuss my ideas about where Hikenpod Montana might go while testing out my two recording devices.  Tascam DR-44WL  Yamaha Pocketrak 2G.  I think, decidedly, the Tascam won out over the Yamaha in the sound department. In this episode's photos you'll see both of the devices sitting on my desk and my silent cohost, Babycat. She was very quiet, although she did a few laps a...

Back to the start - West Cornwall 27.01.2024

Marazion to Penzance in west Cornwall. I return to the place of the very first hikenpod and walk along the south west coast path in the wind with a cough. It's a bout a 3 mile mile on the flat, with some beach cover if you are interested. You get an amazing view of St Michael's mount and St Michael's bay, with a distant vista of Lizard point. The hike took a couple of hours and I wasn&...

From the end of the kingdom Episode 5 Series 4 04.08.2023

After a long and exhausting day on the 1st August 2023, we sat in our tent at 11pm and I recorded episode 5. I was too tired to publish that night, so I went to bed and woke up early to edit and publish, only to find my recorder settings had changed and I recorded 10 mins of silence. This is not the podcast I recorded, this is the one I am replacing the lost one with.

Inside Trent park on this ancient settlement, alleged to be haunted and rife with devil worship.

Portland Bill - Find me on this island 11.06.2023

It took a while to produce this episode and it was 3 days late. I left behind a usb A - usb C convertor, so I couldn't upload my audio. I could have recorded it on my phone but I wanted to keep the quality the same. This episode comes from Portland island in Weymouth, Dorset and is a mixture of Hike 'n' Pod and Bike 'n' Pod. I rode my new foldy bike 9 miles to get there. Thanks for listening.
