God wants us to glory in knowing him. We must abandon pursuing happiness in our wisdom, strength and wealth. True happiness and fulfillment is found only in him.

Christ is preeminent in ministry when God’s people faithfully pray for both the mission and the message of gospel proclamation. Ministry glorifies Christ when it depends on God’s sovereign power, centers on the faithful exposition of Scripture, and seeks clarity and boldness in proclaiming the gospel.

We keep Christ preeminent in prayer when we pray persistently, perceptively, and praisefully.
