Commandments 3 and 4 this week in our series on the 10 commandments. God's personal word to his Bride, for her delight and good.

Our sermons during Lent will be walking through the 10 commandments, focusing on them as God's divine will for his bride; for her good and her delight. This week: Commandments 1 + 2.

After two weeks of travel we are back. The last Sunday in Epiphany is called 'Transfiguration Sunday' as we focus on the account of Jesus' transfiguration in Matthew 17. Here we see the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sinners like Peter, sinners like us are invited to "Stand, and have no fear" as Jesus, the Lord of the Law and Prophets fulfills them on our behalf.

This week we look at Paul's warning and rebuke to the Corinthian church against the anti-epiphany of quarreling and divisions in the church. This is remedied by paying attention the deep problems that cause divisions.

This week we look at Exodus 12 and John 1. Here we see God's design for generational faithfulness -- the light of God being spread from fathers to children, brother to brother, and neighbor to neighbor.

We are following the lectionary for the next season at Heritage. This week: the baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3 and what this tells us about the meaning of our baptisms.

We continue (and finish!) in Christmas with a look at what it means that Jesus is fully man. The gospel would not be the gospel if Jesus did not live, die, and rise as fully God and fully man.

This Christmas Tide we are taking two Sundays to unpack the gospel implications of Jesus' incarnation. He is fully God and fully man -- what does it mean and why does it matter?

We look at Matthew 1 and Isaiah 7 and see how God works within the covenant of marriage and His covenant with David's family to bring about Christmas!

Advent continues with the Jesus' conversations with John the Baptist's disciples, his following crowd, and the generation that would reject him. In all, refocusing on Christ and His Kingdom.

In this Second Sunday of Advent we look at the role and importance of repentance as we wait for God. John the Baptist's message still applies for us today, repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

It's new year at Heritage Anglican Church! We begin again with the first Sunday of Advent. This week begin to consider how we wait. We wait for the 2nd coming of Christ the way He told us to in Luke 24 and 25. Active, hopeful, and obedient.

This last Sunday marks both the beginning of the church year with the feast of Christ the King AND it marks one year of Heritage Anglican Church meeting together in Puna! This week we see Jesus as the messiah and King we desperately need. Our response to Christ echoes the thief on the cross -- see his beauty, humble ourselves before his authority, and receive his mercy.

This is the last sermon in the Book of Acts for this year! We finished chapter 9 before heading into Advent with Christ the King Sunday next week. Here we see that Christ is working in the life of his church, in his body, for the redemption of the world. In his Church, in the Body of Christ, God is baring his holy arm and all the ends of the earth will see His salvation!

We have two more Sundays at Heritage looking at the Book of Acts before we set it aside till next Ordinary Time! This week we look at the converted life of Saul and how it begins and ends with an encounter with Jesus Christ.

Heritage Anglican continues to study the book of Acts during Ordinary Time. This week we look at the story of Ananias going to Saul. The church is called by God to trust his good will and plan so that the glory of God is seen and the mission of God moves forward in the world.

This week we look at the beginning of Saul's conversion story. He is the enemy of God who is loved by defeat. This is what the love of God looks like to the sinner raging against the Body of Christ.

Continuing in the book of Acts during Ordinary Time, we look at story of Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. See how Jesus brings the ultimate outsider into the family of God.

Still in Samaria, the gospel of Jesus Christ confronts the fixed false identity of Samaritan separatism and the forged false identity of Simon the Magician.

The Gospel goes out to Samaria and conquers both the lies of magic and the hearts of those trapped by it.

Heritage is studying the book of Acts this summer. This Sunday we finished the three sermons on the account of Stephen's martyrdom in Acts 7. This week, what does it look like to die for (and live for) King Jesus.

Heritage Anglican is in the book of Acts during Ordinary Time. This week we have part two of a three week mini-series on Stephen: Witness. We see that faithfully following Jesus will bring trouble and that trouble brings a chance to witness to the salvation of God. Stephen both challenges us to be bold in our witness and convicts us by the words of his witness.

Heritage Anglican is studying the book of Acts during Ordinary Time. We begin the story of Stephen this week with the start of three sermon series on Stephen: Trouble -- Witness -- and Martyrdom. This week: Trouble. Following Jesus faithfully will being trouble in your life. What does it means to follow Jesus faithfully? What does this trouble look like? And what is our hope in trouble?

Heritage Anglican is studying the book of Acts during Ordinary Time. In the beginning of Acts 6 we see the church struggling with the internal threat of partiality -- favoritism within the church family. The Holy Spirit, through the Apostles responds with wisdom and clarity to overcome this threat and continue to be a true witness to the goodness of God who shows no partiality (Deut. 10).

Heritage Anglican is studying the book of Acts during Ordinary time. This week Pastor Mark Brians from All Saints Anglican in Honolulu (HA's sending church!) preaches on the victory of Christ seen in the life of the Apostle's before the Sanhedrin in Acts 5.
