Paul had a plan for his ministry, but he was hindered in doing it. We also at times have desires that don't get fulfilled. We rest in the fact that God is in control over all.

Paul's ministry to the Gentiles was a hopeful ministry. The believer's ministry today should be a hopeful ministry.

The believer is commanded to edify his neighbor and to bear the infirmities of the weak. Christ is our example of edification and bearing burdens.

It is virtually impossible to forecast what will offend others. Therefore, it is best to be right with God in both practice and attitude.

Believers should watch for what may be a stumblingblock to another brother in the faith. The believers goal should be to edify with our convictions and not to offend.

It is quite necessary that the believer develops Biblical convictions. Yet, he must develop them out of humility and a desire to be at peace with his fellow brethren. He should not compromise, but neither should he put himself above others.

When building convictions, the believer must build them on sound theology. The Bible must be the source of convictions.

Believers ought not to set anything in the way of a believer that would be a stumblingblock, or something that would trip a fellow believer. Charity is a necessary quality in every believer.

It is crucial to realize that ultimately each man must give an account unto God for how he lives his life. Failure to do so will lead to a rude awakening before the judgment seat of Christ.
