Milden, “Scorpa-leni,” and Quinn explore the empty reflection pool and the statue with the black pearl eyes in the north part of the room. Katlego, Immortalia, Soo-Ree, and the ghost Ilda enter the room with Diderius’ sarcophagus. A voice from the sarcophagus says, “Yuan-ti have taken the one called Varram beyond the wall. Be prepared, for I shall open the way to the peril you seek....”

Ilda is soothed by Milden’s stuttering, semi-apology, and the bearded devils are routed. The party moves down the stairs and into a room with three dining tables. They  follow Ilda’s pleas to go towards Diderius’ resting place. After resting in Ilda’s library, the party prepares to journey further into the crypt. Immortalia, Arvel, Soo-Ree, Quinn, and Milden report having had the same dream of moving through a different dungeon and fighting an animated pile of treasure. Strange. The party opens the door to a throne room, where a ten-foot tall clay golem dressed in purple robes sits upon a throne....

The party enters a long tunnel that slopes downward. About half way along the tunnel, they hear a snapping noise behind them…. As if brittle bones were being dragged across stone…. A large ball of bleached white bones and skulls rolls towards them….Panic! 

The chimera has formed from the mosaic-tile floor and continues to prowl along the legend near the ceiling. Urmas gibbers randomly and runs into the room, knocking Kat’s lute from her and onto the ground. In the process three strings snap. The rest of the party battles the tile beast....

The party gathers at the Entrance to the Tomb of Diderius. A ladder leads to a ledge forty feet above them. Once inside, the party enters a room with six statues in dark cowls lining the walls. Soo-Ree skirts to the right, climbing up to a ledge behind one of the statues. Milden and Urmas hear a warning from the statues, and then Arvel runs....

Fence pries the spear-staff from the kobold sorcerer-chieftain’s cold dead hands, Crenshaw attempts to intimidate captured goblins, and Tharivol and Fitz install a new kobold on the old sorcerer-chieftain's throne. While Mick discovers archaic drawings in a notebook for some sort of geometrically perfect creature…. Something built by Telonel… and some notes that something went terribly wrong with...

Fence, Tharivol, and Fitz pursue the fleeing goblin captain into Telonel’s library and find that the goblin is engaged in combat with a kobold at the top of a circular, cast-iron staircase.

With the exception of Fence who is up early, the party wakes around mid-morning. What will they learn from Brother Halmus about Ged having awoken “the Curse of Telonel’s Misdeeds”? What mysteries and creatures await our adventurers in that keep tucked up against the ridge? The river runs under its iron gates.... its doors stand ajar.... and the darkness beckons....

Will Fence and Claren be able to battle their way through the thugs? How will Crenshaw's booming-voice sorcery help the party? Is there aid or destruction from the Temple of Frey and Freya as they fight the thugs?  What will Crenshaw, Umber, and the invisible Mick discover when they talk with Bondi the gate guard? Will Umber confess? And what does he reveal about Ged's on-going goings on? The...

If the woods were treacherous, the town maybe more so. What will our adventurers learn from Bondi the gate guard? Will he spill any info about Umber Awshucks the Surveyor? Having left the Boarskye Bridge, our adventurers journey out into the Serpent Hills and arrive at the Entrance to Diderius Tomb. Soo-Ree, Arvel, Immortalia, and Seithr fight the flock of vultures that seems to be feasting in the ruined south tower.
