Hosea 4 Today we look at the start of the accusations against Israel. Hosea starts with the priests and the prophets to stress how the nation has been led into no knowledge of God, no love, and no faithfulness. The rest of the book will highlight these three areas. 

Hosea 3 As we look at the command to love again, who is our Gomer? Who is it that God calls us to love that have been unfaithful to the relationship? By symbolizing his own love for the people of Israel, God shows Hosea how to love his wayward wife. 

Hosea 2:2-23 Chapter 2 deals with the beginning accusations against Israel and Gomer. We also see 2 sections of the promise of restoration. God's desire is for us to know him, and when we are caught chasing other things, it will impact all of our relationships. 

Hosea 1:1-2:1  Today we begin our look into Hosea and cover some background information and look through the overview of the first chapter. We discover the important themes of an unfaithful people and a long-suffering God symbolized by the marriage of Hosea and Gomer.  

Philippians 3:12-4:1 Looking at Paul's words to the Philippians, we carry on his message to bring us into a firm faith for the upcoming year

Luke 2:10-11 Today we look at the importance of joy in our walks with the Lord. He is the source of our joy, and when we replace him with earthly things, we will be disappointed.

Luke 2:14 Today we look at the theme of Peace for the second week of Advent. As we explore the depth of this theme and topic, we see how peace is rooted in the person of Christ who came to grant us peace with God through his death and resurrection. 

Today we walk through the gospels to see how Jesus is the light of the world, our true hope. All of our expectations must be found in Him. 

Psalm 136 As we focus on the theme of Thanksgiving, we can explore the scriptures to find passages all throughout the Bible that detail what we are to be thankful for, and to whom. Scripture is clear, that God is worth of our Thanksgiving and praise

Song of Solomon 8:5-8:14 As we look at how this book finishes, we need to be mindful of our own walks and how we as Christians will finish. Who or what are we leaning on for strength? Who are we protecting and who is protecting us? What is the fruit coming out of our vineyard, and is our desire for the Lord to come? All reflection questions that point us to a deeper intimacy and longing for Christ...

Song of Solomon 7:11-8:4  Today we look at the shortest idyll to see how the bride pursues her husband. Her desire for closeness and intimacy is something that we all need to model and incorporate in our own lives in our relationship with Christ. 

Song of Solomon 6:4-7:10 Today we look at life after the wedding, and how the ideal in love will celebrate purity, maturity and delight. Our desires should be for these things in our relationship with Jesus, and the relationships around us. 

Song of Solomon 5:2-6:3 Today we talk about a possible dream or a deeper look at the moment of consummation. All the while understanding who is really knocking on the door. 

Song of Solomon 3:6-5:1 Today we look at a closer more intimate look at the wedding day and a description of how Solomon views his bride. This brings out a challenge and admonishment for our husbands to present their brides before the Lord in proper ways, to lead them spiritually in the way they are called to, and have modeled by Christ. 

Song of Solomon 2:8-3:5 Today we discuss the courtship days of the bride and groom. The understanding of the depths of love continue and the refrain of not awakening love before its time is stressed once again. 

Song of Solomon 1:1-2:7 Beginning our look into the honeymoon phase of relationships, we look back at the wedding day of this couple. Look at some staples of love, in how it confronts insecurities, it incorporates all the senses, it is humble and patient. Understanding these things in our marriages and faith can help us go deeper.

2 Tim 3 As we transition into the main part of the series, we tie up the introduction messages, looking at more difficult texts and turn our focus towards Song of Solomon. Today we are reminded of the pride and selfishness in our relationships and understand that we need to rely on God to overcome and persevere through, understanding his grace to a greater degree.

Judges 20-21 Today we see the response of Israel to the atrocities of Gibeah and as we think about how selfishness and pride impact the decisions of Israel, how do they impact the lives of us today still when it comes to the relationships that we have. 

Judges 19 Today we will start our look into Judges 19-21 and the principle of how when there is no king, the people will do whatever is right in their own eyes. 

2 Sam. 13 Today we continue our look into sexual abuse by adding in the topic of incest as we talk about David's family. When abuse happens within the family, it is difficult on many levels to address. But righteousness needs to prevail and consequences had in order to honor what the Lord has said. 

Gen 34 Today we begin a difficult discussion surrounding sexual abuse. Looking at Dinah and Shechem, we see the chaos surrounding a rape. Where the turmoil causes, silence, negotiating, deception and varying ideas about justice. We look at bad people behaving badly throughout this account. As Christians, how can we seek the Lord in the hard times that can bring healing to hurting people? How can w...

2 Sam. 11-12; Discussing the topic of adultery, we talk about David and Bathsheba and look deeper into the temptations that steer us away from the will of God in our lives. After being confronted with his sin, David draws closer to the father. Something that all of us need to do more. 

Today we look at regulations from Deut. 22, and Matthew 5. Looking primarily at the regulations for the prohibition for this week. This message will continue into some examples next week.

Gen. 38, Joshua 2, Luke 7 Today we look specifically at the fragmentation of the ideal into making physical sex acts a business proposition. Even within those experiences we can still see the redemption and grace of God at work as we continue to pursue wholeness and oneness in Christ.
