Acts 19:21-41 Paul is resolved for the last season of his ministry for the gospel. The effects of the gospel message being preached has changed the culture at Ephesus causing a riot among the people because the idol industry has lost a lot of business. The gospel preached will have ripple effects that will pass through the whole culture.

Acts 19:11-20 This passage addresses the topic of Spiritual Warfare. It is a difficult doctrine to live out, but crucial to the believer's life. As we are rooted in Christ, we are vessels to be used by the Lord for his glory, not our own fame.

Isaiah 12 As we look at the source of joy, we also discuss the views of happiness that pervade our culture. We must stay focused on God, who is our salvation and source of joy.

The second week of advent focuses on the Peace on Earth that is declared by the angels at the birth of Jesus. The truth that he brings us peace with God through his death and resurrection is vital part in our Christian walks.

As we begin Advent, we talk about the hope we have in Jesus and how that should impact our daily lives as a believer. 

Acts 18:18-19:10 Today Paul makes it to Ephesus and Apollos travels to Corinth as the Great Commission is being accomplished and the church is becoming more accurate in their understanding. 

Acts 18:1-17 Paul travels to Corinth to share the gospel. He also makes tents, shakes the dust off his clothes, and wins a tribunal. Paul learns to be content in all situations and trust that the Lord will protect him as he completes his commission. 

Acts 17:16-34 We continue to follow Paul in the missionary journey as he goes to the idol-filled Athens. He is provoked by the idolatry and shares the gospel message from the basics to an unbelieving people, and shares the warning of the upcoming judgement. The times of ignorance are past, the command is to repent!

Acts 17:1-15 Paul and Silas move on to Thessalonica and Berea to share the gospel. They make a connection through a strong point of contact and they expound the scriptures, while achieving differing results. The picture of evangelism and the response of diving into the scriptures is a wonderful application for us today.

Acts 16:16-40  Paul casts of the demon from a slave girl, and shares the gospel with the jailer. The gospel message is uniting people from different backgrounds under the banner of Christ. 

Acts 16:6-15 AS Paul and the missionary team faces closed doors and the opportunity to despair, they press into the Lord and follow his leading of where the gospel is to be preached. How we handle the open and closed doors in our lives needs to reflect our dependence on him and not our own desires.

Acts 15:36-16:5  The start of the second missionary journey begins with a sharp disagreement, as well as a going of separate ways. Through this, more missionaries are being developed, more churches are encouraged, and more churches will be planted. The early church is beginning to wrestle with the question of what would need to be done for the sake of the gospel. 

Acts 15:1-35 The question of Salvation by faith alone is brought up to the new church. The teachings of works-based salvation are infiltrating the church, and these teachings continue today. It is simple and difficult to understand that grace is a free gift.

Acts 14  Following Paul and Barnabas through Asia Minor as they finish up their first missionary tour, we are able to see how they are faithful to their calling even in the face of opposition, misunderstandings and persecution. 

Acts 13:13-52 Paul and Barnabas travel to Pisidian Antioch to share the gospel message. In his first recorded presentation, Paul emphasizes the forgiveness of sins through Jesus' sacrifice as the only way to be justified before God. 

Acts 12:25-13:12 The Antioch church was diverse and Spirit led as they sent out their leaders on the first missionary journey to Cyprus. They confront a false Prophet boldly in order to see one man come to faith. We compare this approach to the recent events in our nation to stand for our faith. 

Acts 12:1-24 Today we cover the question of why James and not Peter, as James is beheaded and Peter is set free. Reflecting on our own reasons to follow Jesus in our daily life as he is or Savior and Lord. 

Acts 11:19-30 As the church in Antioch is planted, we see a model of Evangelism, Discipleship and Mercy that shaped the early church in a pleasure-seeking culture. The gospel changed the landscape of this culture as the term Christian is first used to describe the followers of Jesus.

Acts 10:23-11:18 The excitement and joy of Cornelius and his family believing in Jesus for salvation shows God's initiation towards the rest of the world. The gospel will break barriers and traditions in order to bring freedom to the soul. 

Acts 10:1-23 Through the special revelations of the visions, God shares his plan to open salvation for the gentiles. What gets in the way of the grace of God, is the religion that we may cling to. God is stripping that away for us. 

Acts 9:32-43  As the record of ministry shifts to Peter, we study how he mirrors Jesus' ministry and how the church is beginning to expand the ends of the earth.

Psalm 28:7-9  Steve walks us through some of our inheritance today focusing on David's prayer in Psalm 28.

Acts 9:23-31 Saul's reputation precedes him as he tries to join the disciples in Jerusalem. His bold defense and witness for Christ has now brought him death threats, and he can stay safe and deny the claims, or realize that persecution comes with sharing the gospel message and living for Christ.
