Van has some very tough decisions to make in this emotional final episode of Hardcore Heroes.

The party risks life and limb and attempts to fight off the demon horde with the help of a handful of companions.

The stage has been set, it is time to put their grand plan into motion, the party sets out for Heatstroke hoping to contain the demons with their mighty magics!

The party spends time digging into all sorts of leads regarding the demonic menace and then take it upon themselves to set up a much needed mine in a rather dangerous location.

The party finish up a few loose ends from their prior dungeon delving and then look into helping out an old friend, one thing leads to another and soon the party are on a magical rescue mission.

The party alongside their trusty followers delve into a dungeon in search of great loot and knowledge.

The two party members are reunited at last, they share with each other what has been going on. During a visit to the capital Van is informed that he is soon to be a father and as such he proposes a marriage.

Van makes it to Heatstroke, or at least what remains of it, and begins his investigation with the help of his warriors. They make good headway and manage the get the attention of a powerful being who lives in the area.

Van journeys to Eridon accompanied by his warriors in order to practice killing demons while Malakai is out and about, along the way he takes the chance to meet with someone rather important.

Malakai’s vacation in Akuba is extended once more as he undertakes the task of learning the Akuban language. After which he pays a visit to Roxsis

Malakai travels abroad in search of answers regarding Falstaffs staff and tomb. Though he gets waylaid for a lot longer than he bargained for when going to speak with a wise and ancient being.

Malakai dives deep into his research aboard the wizard airship and finds out some rather interesting things along the way.

As Van and Malakai further their plans both run into strange distractions along the way, one of a rather dangerous sort and magical in nature, the other a much more human matter. Though in the end both manage to get back on track to some extent.

Van and Malakai start to put their plan into action, getting everything ready to house the demon they are after. Along the way they make some new friends and encounter an old one they have not seen in a long while.

Van is haunted by the idea of having left souls behind in the plane of shadow, so he embarks on a journey of both mind and spirit to help remedy the situations however he can, so that the poor souls might not be forgotten and could still return to Felumbra.

Malakai wishes to expand his library, but things take a strange turn of events as he instead finds himself on an adventure in a completely new environment.

Malakai starts to properly settle into life at Bon’Theris, making connections, purchasing property and other such matters, all while trying to keep up his good reputation and not let slip some of the less savory things he might have done back in Eridon.

Van and Malakai flee the aftermath of the battle, grabbing whatever they can and attempting to make their way for greener pastures.

The party gathers themselves in Shirebrook after Malakai’s close encounter with the shadow dragons and decide where to go next. Thornwood looks lost and they decide instead to head to the next town over and so the battle of Misty Rapids begins.

The party now reunited attempts to figure out what exactly is going on with all these different portals, demons, shadow dragons and if Malkis is truly somehow involved in all of this.

The situation is looking dicey for Van and Mother Ellyse, Van resorts to any and all methods he can to muster up some clerical power. In the meantime Georg and Malakai are doing their best to make it on time to the survivors.

A dire battle takes place upon the stones of the Great Pyramid, which truly does seem to be a place of divine connection.

Van and Kain lead their group of survivors on a perilous journey across this shadowy version of Arcadia, hopefully closer and closer to the Great Pyramid of Heatstroke.

After discovering unspeakable horrors in the Shadow Mountains Van and Mother Ellyse eventually come to the conclusion that their best chance is to make for the holiest place in this strange shadow of the world they find themselves in.
