What has this podcast turned into!?!? We all loved this movie. ...but there were no boobs in it. Shonda, Johnny & Jimmy had a superfun conversation about high school, courage of the heart, and not wanting to sell anything bought, produced or sold.

The crew is divided on this one.  Is Eddie Murphy in his prime worth the blackface and "N-bombs"??? We all agree that: Dirty Santa Suits + Smoked Salmon = Hilarious.

Surely you didn't wait this long to review "Airplane!"?   It took us until now...and stop calling us "Shirley." This was Shonda's 1st time watching the firm.  So much of the innocent silliness is pretty dark when viewed as an adult. Maybe next time we'll watch a movie about gladiators???

Is it a Christmas Movie? Is it a comedy? Is it horror? Is it a public service announcement about holiday suicides??? We didn't like much about this movie...but Shonda, Jimmy and Jonny had lots to say.

Naked men, phone books, answering machines, inept cops, skinny ties, and our first 80's look at a dystopian future.  (Actually, near-future... 2029!)  We had a blast revisiting the classic 1984 film, The Terminator.

We took a trip back and revisited this beloved movie from our youth.  We all had some laughs, but we were unprepared for the ickiness that was considered "normal" in this 1984 film.

Johnny pushes hard to convince Jimmy that SCROOGED is about psychedelics & trauma work. They both agree that Bill Murray is amazing.

Flash Gordon came out 43 years ago and it shows.  It's like  "Star Wars" if you ordered it on WISH.com.  It has plenty of ridiculousness that makes it fun to watch.  And even though a couple of the scenes have been scorched into Jim and John's brains, we still felt bad for making Shonda watch it.  Lots of laughing as we discussed, of course.

"Eat. My. Shorts."  The crew revisits a John Hughes movie that was important to all three of us.  Does it hold up?  Well, Bender's sexual talk is NOT cute anymore.  But the depth shown of each character remains rich and valuable.  We also shared a bunch of our own Jr. High and High School experiences.

Maybe those town elders weren't so bad?  Jimmy and Johnny cut loose to this 1984 Kevin Bacon dance-a-thon.

This Cameron Crowe 80's masterpiece gives an intense look at sex, awkwardness, school & pot smoking. We delved into all sorts of side convos about masturbation,  our mall jobs, adolescent anxiety, and our horrible personal experiences with music teacher Mr Campiglia.   Enjoy! 

Nicolas Cage (with the weirdest chest hair EVER) smolders in this VERY 80's take on Romeo and Juliet.   As Jimmy said, "The dialogue is unbearable."

This 80's film is about a high school girl going undercover as a boy to show she is a victim of sexism.  Binary gender roles and great fashion abounds.  But the horndog younger brother steals the show

It's about a guy who falls in love with a mannequin. Meanwhile his ex girlfriend is sexually harassed by almost every other character in the film...except the over-the-top gay designer.

This week we waded into the black-faced waters of  Soul Man , a 1986 comedy starring Ponyboy himself, C. Thomas Howell, as Mark Watson, privileged young man who has been accepted into Harvard Law School! However his wealthy father decides to teach him a lesson in becoming a man by NOT paying for school. What’s a young, affluent white kid to do? Dust off your Amos and Andy tapes, it’s time to talk...

Tom Cruise was 21 years old. He rocked the tube socks and tighty whities.  We forgot a lot about this movie, but re-watching it sparked a bunch of memories of high school stress...and lots of laughs. 

Shonda picked this week's movie, "The Last Dragon."  This 1985 kung fu comedy (?) has lots to glow about...and even more to be confused by.  SHO' NUFF!!!!!

This week we are sad to report that we watched, "Porky's."  A 1981 film set in 1954.   And that is supposed to make the racist and anti-Semitic characters easier to digest!?!  Yeesh.  Still, we laugh a lot during the episode.

We re-watched the 1985 John Hughes film, "Weird Science."   The premise is horribly cringy: Two boys use their computer to create a physical woman to satisfy their fantasies.   It has plenty to poke fun of, but it's not nearly as bad as it could have been.
