Sharing the Gospel with friends and family has a track record of being awkward and difficult. This week, we are looking at practical ways to share the gospel with the people that God has already put in your life.

The presence of God changes things. We were made to be in His presence and His presence is the answer to our deepest need. None of us are qualified to step into His presence on our own merit, but thank God, Jesus has made a way.

God doesn’t place people by accident, and God did not give us a faith to sit still. We are here to serve because He first served us!

Culture seems to see authority as dangerous or stifling, which it certainly can be, but Godly authority always leads us into abundant life and safety.

As we wrap up Colossians, Paul has some final greetings that help us get a better picture of relationships. Check your circle, check your heart, and check how friendships can help you walk with Christ.

Colossians 2:6-15

How do we suffer well? Often times, when we find ourselves in the midst of deep pain we want to wonder why rather than how to live through it? How we live through our suffering will always speak louder than why we are suffering in the first place.

This week, in our study through the book of Colossians, we marvel at the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The good news that Jesus, fully God and fully man, stepped out of heaven to confront the reality of our sin to reconcile us, His beloved creation, back into relationship with Him.

The church in Clossae is in a small town and facing big problems. Syncretism and Gnosticism are creeping into the church and those ideologies still exist in the church to this day. Paul begins to confront these issues with an attitude of gratitude and a heartfelt encouragement to continue to be filled with the Gospel they received at first.

There are a ton of amazing churches out there- what makes us distinct? When we isolate one approach to church amazing things can happen but we can also see unintended consequences. Let’s identify who we are and unite around a shared vision of why we are here and what we are after.
