Growing in the Word

What happens when we die? That question has been asked by virtually every person who has ever lived, and it continues to be a source of discussion today. In our study of Revelation chapter twenty one today, we'll see our questions about life after death answered by God Himself. The plain fact is,   every person has an eternal life waiting for them. The difference is in where you spend the time.

Heaven. Have you ever contemplated what that experience will be like? Most of us have, but every person's idea of Heaven is probably unique. We'll be in Revelation chapter twenty one today, and Pastor Jim will help us understand what Heaven will really be like, according to God himself.

This is the last time we'll look at the Millennial Kingdom, and what a time it is going to be one day, when the Lord returns to reign over the earth for a thousand years. Today's broadcast centers around the Great White Throne Judgment,   a time in the not-so-distant future when Christ will sit in judgment of sin once and for all.  

We're talking about judgment day today. It's not everyone's favorite subject. But, nevertheless we will all face it one day. Pastor Jim is in Revelation, chapter twenty.

Today on the program, we'll continue our study in Revelation chapter twenty. Throughout the last several weeks of our study - we've seen a battle take place with a casualty count that makes any terrorist attack pale in comparison. Satan and his minions were thoroughly and completely defeated, yet God will allow him one more opportunity to cause havoc on earth. It's the last stand of Satan.

  We have a very interesting program in store for you today as we continue in Revelation twenty. The text is all about the judgment in store for satan when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to reign for a thousand years. And of course we'll also delve further into the events surrounding the triumphal return of Jesus Christ to the earth.

In Revelation chapter twenty we hear of what the world will be like when the Lord not only takes away our sin but satan and sinners too! Everything will change. Hope and change are both popular buzz words today, but these changes are really remarkable to behold!  

  In Revelation chapter twenty we're given a description of what's certain to occur in our future - the Devil will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit. The Saints will be ruling on thrones with the Lord! If this wasn't the inspired word of God it would be too fantastic to believe! Yet it is God's word and it is true.

There are a quite a few differing opinions surrounding the Millennium.   But, there's no need to divide over it because we can all agree on the bottom line -- that Jesus Christ is indeed coming back to establish His Kingdom once and for all!   And that's good news for every believer!  

In chapter twenty of Revelation, we read about the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ. What exactly is it and why is it a significant study for every believer? We hope to clear up those questions on today's edition of Growing in the Word. We find our place now in Revelation twenty as pastor Jim again encourages us to go directly to God's word for answers to life's questions!.

The events we see John describe here are going to happen, and we must acknowledge that fact, and be prepared for the Lord's soon coming. Those who experience the death, destruction and pain we see here should take these verses as a warning - and an opportunity to receive salvation through Christ.

If you're a fan of boxing, you know that the event that signals that the match is about to start is the flamboyant entrance of the two combatants. Some of them get pretty intense. But those entrances can't hold a candle to the grand entrance we are reading about in Revelation nineteen. Jesus is returning to the earth to reign, and the events are enough to take your breath away.  

Today, pastor Jim Jarrett continues in Revelation nineteen. We have spent quite a bit of time in this chapter, and that's because there's a lot going on here. Jesus Christ is returning to the earth, and today we see Him accompanied by the armies of heaven. Who are these soldiers, and what is their role in the end times? We'll find out today.

The current topic of discussion is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Speculation abounds as to how close we are to that amazing day when the Lord returns, but the truth is, no one knows. The date may be unknown, but by studying Revelation nineteen, we can certainly see what will occur when the Lord indeed returns to reign for a thousand years!  

We have never been closer to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ than right now.   That's our topic of discussion today on Growing in the Word. One thing that all Christians should keep in mind when we study the pain and destruction to come in the end times, is that we have been saved from all of that hurt through our salvation in Christ.

Have you ever wondered what the future holds?   We all do from time to time.   So many have come and gone who claim to know the future.   God alone knows what is to come.   Today we're going to see fascinating glimpse into the future of this world, when Jesus returns to reign on the earth He created.

Athletes are famous for their "comebacks". They retire, miss the game, then came back - to mixed results. We never really know when it comes to comebacks, do we? There is one comeback that we can count on to be spectacular - the return of Jesus Christ to reign on earth. That's the subject of today's broadcast as we look at Revelation chapter nineteen.
