Grit City Dharma is a meditation community in Tacoma, WA, founded in 2025 by Joe Conniff. Joe has been studying the dharma for 11 years, having come to mindfulness and meditation following his experiences of addiction, mental illness, homelessness and incarceration, and all the ups and downs that came with them. Joe became a certified mindfulness instructor in 2018, and has studied under several renown western dharma teachers. He has taught within the criminal legal system and treatment centers.
