The day of the Lord’s return is coming where all the evil in this world will be put to rest; the punishment for sin is death and Jesus came so that no one may perish but have eternal life through Him. Do you know Jesus? If you know Him, are you obeying what He asks of you?

Are the hard things in life going to grow you or destroy you? Ask God to show you where He is in your suffering; He is working all the angles to grow you in character.

Hard times reveal the weaknesses where we have misplaced our faith and trust; God redeems our suffering by using our weakness to strengthen us in Him and promises us grace and peace in the process.

Pride is a spiritual blind spot; it will stop us from doing what God wants us to do and it limits our dependence on Him. Humility is a posture of open and willing hands to receive God’s grace, mercy, and direction in every area of our life.

The key ingredient to any successful relationship is communication; prayer is the number one way we have been called and invited to communicate with our Heavenly Father who loves us. He created us to be in relationship with Him and to pray to Him on all occasions, in all circumstances. How can you up your prayer life in both solitude and in solidarity with others?

Fasting expresses our longing for Jesus' return and our desire to be with Him above anything else; in the process, we trade physical weakness for spiritual strength.

Prayer is the most productive and proactive response to whatever you are dealing with in this life. We have been given the freedom to bring our struggles, emotions, and real feelings to our Heavenly Father in prayer.

Division melts away when we focus on Jesus. If we are to have unity with each other, we must first experience unity with Christ.

At the cusp of a new year, let's take the opportunity to let go of the things that are holding us back from living in the freedom that Jesus offers freely; don't let the pain of the past infect your present or your hope for the future. Let go and fix your eyes upon Jesus, the one who knows your journey inside and out.

How do we as followers of Christ see people the way God sees them, with a lens of unconditional love? You will not learn how to love others like this until you have experienced it yourself.

Joy is the very essence of God's character. Unlike the temporary distractions of this world that will never satisfy our soul completely, the joy of the Lord was created to be a constant in our soul.

Peace and anxiety cannot exist in your heart at the same time; you must exchange your cares to God in order to receive His peace and continue to abide in Him in order to maintain it.

Placing hope in anything other than God is false security; it makes you incredibly fragile and vulnerable to hopelessness and despair. You have been given a gift that is sustaining, that is guaranteed against disappointment, and that transcends poverty, betrayal, and even death. Have you accepted it?

Marriage is a valid choice but being single is by far the preferred calling according to the Bible. We need to do a better job of loving on the single people in our church and our communities.

Marriage is core to our understanding of God and our relationship with Him; God understood our need for connection and desired to provide us with an earthly example. The devil understands the strength of this bond and will do whatever it takes to destroy the good which God has created.

The inherent design of male and female reflects God’s intended and perfect design, the ultimate combination of His creation, made in His image.

We have been given divine weapons to demolish strongholds; one of these weapons is fasting. It is one of our most powerful weapons in spiritual warfare. When we fast, our soul develops resiliency.
