The story of Naaman is a picture of the Gospel. Being cleansed of your sins is not as complicated and some want to make it. Just believe! And you will be cleansed of your sin problem!

In Samuel, Isreal was going through a time of repentance and God helped them to defeat the Philistines. Samuel erected the Stone of Help (Ebenezer) to remind them of how God provided. What is your Ebenezer? Something that reminds you of how God provided for you!

Are you mad, disappointed, or bitter with God? There is a cure! God is bigger than that, and sometimes He orchestrates it for a greater ending. Return to Him, enjoy the people He has placed around you, and remember that His Son, Jesus died for you!

We have a King. His name is JESUS! When you try to live your life without THE King bad things happen. That's what happens over and over in the book of Judges. They would turn their focus away from the One True God, and then He would remind them of His Commandments.

We have salvation. We have sanctification. We have Grace, but we still have to run our race for Jesus! You get to decide how to live your life for Jesus. Will you be a vessel for honor or dishonor? "Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." II Timothy 2:21

In Judges chapter 6 we see that the people were oppressed by the Midianites. Then we are introduced to Gideon. A man that was "the least" in his father's house. But he is visited by the Angel of the Lord (a Preincarnate Appearance of Jesus) and told he will deliver the Israelites from the Midianites. This is an incredible message of God's Sovereignty.

We are always doing things to prepare for the next generation. The Bible is the same. Judges is an important period in the Bible that eventually transitions us to the KING!
