As a church we have sent out and/or support various ministry partners. But since we are in different locations doing different things what does it mean for us to partner with them? In Paul's letter to the Philippians, we see 5 ways in which the church played an active part as partners in the gospel.

What would you do if you knew the world was ending soon? The end of Daniel’s book predicts what the end of the world will look like and it also tells us exactly how we should respond and what we should do as we await that final ending.

How can followers of God live in difficult times? Daniel 11 helps us to understand that the only way to live in such times is to live by God’s revealed truth and promises. We see several of these truths and promises given to Daniel in this chapter.

How does Daniel respond when a messenger of God comes to give him an important message? Initially, he has no strength to even hear the message, but the messenger gives him supernatural strength and begins to reveal to Daniel important matters, not just for his own day, but for ours as well.

The end of Daniel 9 has been called the “backbone” of Biblical prophecy. Daniel has prayed to God and in this passage, God gives Daniel the answer to his prayer by telling him much that will happen in the future. This passage still has much comfort and clarity for readers today as well.

We have all at times find it difficult to apologise, perhaps because of our egos, our insecurities, or a sense of shame. This is true with our family and friends, but most of all with God. Daniel shows us how to say sorry to God and how to find mercy and forgiveness.

Can a vision and prophecy 2,500 years ago have anything helpful to teach us today? The several kingdoms and tyrants Daniel describes can not only teach us much about how God works in history, but also about how we can receive comfort today and continue to hold fast in challenging times. 

Most people would like to know certain aspects of the future. Thankfully, for those who follow Jesus, God has clearly told them certain truths about what we can expect in the future. Daniel 7 gives some of those truths.

Can we, as humans, know anything about the future? In Daniel 7, we are given several predictions about the future, but these are fundamentally different to the typical human guesses about what is to come. Through these visions, Daniel helps us to realise and respond to the reality that God rules over history.

Revelation 7 gives us a glimpse of what heaven will be like and challenges us to consider how important it is to spread the good news of Christ to all nations and all people.

In this passage we are assured that God Himself, upon taking on humanity, took on Himself our sin, our shame and paid the full penalty on the cross in order that we might have eternal life.

This morning we take a look at 3 John which encourages us and the heart of the church to keep the truth and words of Jesus as first and foremost.

This morning we consider the apostle Paul's example of how to live for the sake of the Gospel and share the good news of Jesus.

What does the title Prince of Peace mean? Why do we celebrate and sing about it during Christmas? This Christmas we consider Jesus who brings peace to all.

What's the one thing that you really want for Christmas? How you answer that question reflects what is important to you, or something that you are lacking in your life right now. But what if there was a gift that could meet all your hopes and dreams? Find out what this gift is and how you can receive it this Christmas.

For centuries, Christianity was the dominant religion in the West. But in recent times, its beliefs and values are increasing out of step with the secular society we live in. How do Christians respond to the mounting pressure to change, to conform, or at least to keep silent? Daniel 6 has much to teach us as we seek to follow Jesus faithfully.

If a person observed your life over a period of time, how would they describe you? In this passage, a public figure, Daniel, is observed and then described by both supporters and enemies. What is surprising is that both groups agree in their positive description of him. How can this be and what does Daniel’s character have to teach us today?

Any time someone gives us a message, we must hear it, understand it, and then respond to it. But when it comes to something like the Christian message, how should we understand it and how should we respond to it. The Shepherds give an excellent example that helps us to answer these questions.

Why would another king of Babylon challenge the one true God again? In this famous scene, Daniel confronts Belshazzar for his actions, but Daniel’s confrontation is nothing compared to God’s judgement which He pronounces against the king.

2,500 years ago, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had a message for all people throughout the earth. It was a message based on his personal experience and testimony of the one true God. That message has been preserved and passed down through the centuries, and is still relevant for us today.

When should a Christian take a stand for what is right? What hills are worth dying for? Daniel 3 gives a clear example of standing for the truth because we know God is of the greatest value.

In every age, there are kingdoms and rulers who wield extraordinary power and influence over us. And perhaps in a smaller way we might feel that we can control and direct the course of our lives. In Daniel 2 we are given a glimpse into the future of mankind, and what is revealed will humble even the mightiest of kings.

Where can we find truth? In Daniel’s book, we are shown that truth and lasting wisdom are only found outside of us - through God’s self-revelation. How do we access this self-revelation of God? Daniel answers that too.

Who decides our identity and how would you keep your identity intact when you find yourself in a completely different place with its own language and culture? Daniel and his friends faced just such a circumstance, and in the process, they teach us much about identity and how to stay resolute on the most important things of life - even in the most trying times.

Is the history of this world going somewhere? Is anyone in charge or are we just floating about through time and space by chance? Daniel’s book speaks to the true understanding of human history as well as answering the question of what holds supreme value in life.
