It took 13 yrs for Joseph to be moved from his position as a slave/prisoner to that of second in command. No doubt, there were times of discouragement and frustration. However, in the end, it is revealed that God knew what he was doing. Just as God knew what He was doing in Joseph's life, He also knows what He is doing in our lives.

As Jonah ran from God and explained his rebellion to the mariners on the ship, he claimed to be a man that feared God. Such a claim was not only a lie, it was ridiculous. Jonah reminds us that if we are going to claim to fear God, then our actions must prove we fear Him and surrender ourselves to His will for our lives.

The scribes spoke, but Christ spoke with authority. What made the difference? The word of God. Listen to this evenings message and be reminded of the importance of knowing the word of God and not just knowing about the word of God. There is a vast difference.

There's joy when you get to share good news; it's a different story when you have to share bad news. Because Joseph had the authority of God's word in his life, he was willing to say what needed to be said, even when it was not comfortable. How we need a portion of Joseph's boldness.

Jonah's rebellion brought about a terrible storm which affected the lives of others. Sadly, Jonah was so selfish that he was unaware of what his actions were responsible for; and, when he learned of what was happening, he did not care. When Jonah learned of God's will for his life, Jonah despised the idea. Because of this, Jonah thought he would flee from the presence of the Lord. He thought he would run to where God was not. Sadly, many still choose to run from God's will for their life. The end result is never positive. Listen, and make sure you are not running from God's will for your life.

If anyone had a reason to be fixated on his problems, it was Joseph. In the midst of his problems, he was able to see and care about those in his life who were hurting. There's quite the challenge in this brief passage of scripture.

Why build a house on sand? It's just wasted energy. Why listen to the word of God if you're not going to apply? It's just wasted energy. Christ confronted the subject head on and it's something that deserves our consideration.

Sadly, scripture makes clear: Not everyone who claims to be a Christian is on their way to heaven. Tonight's passage reminds us that a person can be good, and religious, and still be on their way to an eternal hell. Listen and give consideration to tonight's very important truth, as taught by Christ himself.

At one of David's lowest points, he refused to slipped into a state of despair. His outlook and testimony remind us that a child of God never has to experience despair in the midst of disappointment when they choose to reflect on three major truths. This message is an encouragement if we allow it to be. Please listen and use it in your life. It really will be a help.

While circumstances changed for Joseph, his relationship with the Lord remained constant. Often, we are guilty of letting circumstances influence our level of confidence in our unchanging relationship with the Lord. Tonight's message reminds us that nothing changes a child of God's relationship with him; provided they are striving to walk in obedience to the Lord's will.

False prophets have been present for thousands of years. It's no surprise that Christ would warn his disciples against them. It should also come as no surprise that false prophets still exist today; as such, we need to be aware of them and guard against them. Tonight's message helps us identify false prophets in our day and reminds us why we need to avoid them and their ministries.

It's not uncommon for us to expect certain things or people. Many times are expectations are not realistic. Such is of the case as it relates to our relationship with the Lord. We expect Him to do what we want Him to do; not what He has promised to do. Listen and see if you've ever been guilty of having unrealistic expectations of God.

Christ declares there are two paths/ways/lanes in life. One is broad, while the other is narrow. One promises to give joy, while the other makes no such claims. One leads to loss and ruin, while the other leads to an abundant life. The choice is ours. We should choose carefully and wisely.

With all the recent events in our society, it has become even more clear that we live in an ungodly, wicked society. However, we are certainly not the first group of people to endure such. As a result, it is essential that we know what our approach to life should be in this ungodly world we are a part of. Listen and consider the needed reminder.

With one simple declaration, the spiritual maturity of Joseph was revealed. The question demanded of every believer is: "What kind of maturity is being developed within us?" We can know by answering at least one simple question. PS- Message begins about 4 minutes into recording.

While there are many important aspects of the Christian's life, Paul closes this chapter in the same manner in which he opened it by reminding readers that nothing is more important than our love for others; as that is a reflection of our love for God. What we now have to be willing to ask ourselves is, "Do I love as I should?".

In life, we seem to have expectations of everything; relationships included. While there is nothing wrong with having expectations of others, Christ made clear that we can expect nothing more from others than we are willing to do and give of ourselves. Many times, we are guilty of expecting far more from others than we want to do/give ourselves.

The story of Joseph reveals that God is enough in every stage of life; however, even Joseph struggled with "wanting" a little more. It's amazing how often we struggle with this same problem. Scripture reveals that God is all man has ever needed...is all we will ever need. GOD IS ENOUGH!
