We owe it to our brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for them as God lays them on our hearts. Tonight's message reminds us of this great responsibility and challenges whether or not we are praying for others as we ought.

While we all enjoy "riches", and what it provides, the world fails to understand how obedience to God's word brings just as much joy and pleasure. Today's text reminds us that both are possible.

Most Christians have no problem shying away from "big" sins; however, we tend to like to edge toward certain sins with a sense of caution or justification. Tonight's message reminds us that we should not engage in the very appearance of sin.

A simple command is given in 119:4...Keep the precepts of God. There is much more to this thought than personal obedience on our part. Listen and give consideration to the powerful truth of this verse.

The words of Christ are vitally important, yet often overlooked. In this message, the writer pleads with his audience to give heed to the words of Christ because it makes an eternal difference in our lives. Have you given heed to the words of Christ?

Paul exhorts believers in Thessalonica to be a student of truth. Far too many people sit in churches and hold positions they have no personal basis for. This is not how the Christian life was meant to be lived. We must be willing to consider this question: "Am I a student of God's word?".

Sometimes, it never occurs to us that the problem is us. This familiar passage reminds us that the problems our nation (and possibly our own personal lives) is facing may not be the fault of the ungodly; but rather, the fault of God's people.

In this introductory message to the book of Hebrews, we are confronted with the reality of who Jesus is. This truth is of utmost importance because of it's effect on so many other "religious issues". We MUST know who Jesus is.

Our attitude toward the preaching of God's word says much about our relationship with our Father who gave us the Word that is able to be preached. The mature Christian will be highly esteem the preaching of God's word, while the immature esteem it lightly.

Quench not the Spirit! Powerful words spoken by Paul; and yet, it happens so often because we are comfortable with our way of life. When God speaks through the Spirit, we need to listen!

The birth of Christ was a visible, tangible reminder to the children of God that in the mixed up, corrupt, and spiritually bankrupt world they were a part of that God was with them. Thankfully, that same truth remains today. The birth of Christ reminds us that no matter the world we live in, God is with us.

Sixty-six years of Joseph's adult life is unaccounted for in the scripture, yet we respect him Why? Because testimony would suggest he was obedient in the "little" areas of life...for the remainder of his life. Are we faithful to do the "little" things that mean so much to so many other?

To his equals, Joseph was a blessing. To his superior, he was a blessing. To those who were beneath him, he was a blessing. Joseph chose to be a blessing. His example, once again, is a tremendous challenge to you and I to strive to be a blessing to all those we come into contact with.

Pharaoh assumed certain things of Joseph's family based on the actions of Joseph. What do people assume of the people in your life based on your actions? That's something we don't always think about.

It's possible to have a Christmas free of stress, anxiety or any other negative emotion. This mornings message is a simple reminder of how to make it happen for you and your family.

It's overwhelming to consider that the God of this universe is mindful of man; and cares for man. Yet, that is exactly what scripture teaches. To think that God is mindful of man is something to be thankful for.

The power of Christ was revealed when he rebuked the storm and the wind and seas obeyed him. The disciples were reminded, in that instant, that they had nothing to fear. The same God who controlled their storm also has complete control over our storms, and that is something to be thankful for.

God is good. He is good in the small areas of life and sometimes He showers his people with extra blessings that are not deserved. No matter what: God is good!

The testimony of God's faithfulness from the perspective of David is a wonderful truth to give thanks to God for. Not only have the righteous never been forsaken or their seed begging bread, it will never happen.

To think that God would communicate with man. That is incredible. To think about the content of the bible. It is overwhelming. When we consider the author and the content, we should instinctively give thanks to God for His word.

It's easy to be kind, benevolent, generous with those who are kind, benevolent and generous to us. It's much more difficult to be these things when we are dealing with jerks. Joseph reminds us that we can be just as generous with the jerks in our life as we can with anyone else.

If all we can say, this Thanksgiving season, is that we are "saved", then we have more than enough to be thankful for. Listen and be reminded of how precious and priceless our salvation truly is.

Family is certainly something to be thankful for. However, family, to some, may not be what others consider as family. Tonight's message reminds us that even if we do not have a family to be thankful for; we still have a "family" to be thankful for.

As Joseph sent his brothers home...to tell their dad that Joseph was alive and well, he encouraged his brothers to be not afraid. This was a great gesture of love on the part of Joseph. Listen and consider how we should manifest love to those in our lives.
