Weekly Recap 6.22.22  We look at the end of I Corinthians chapter 1, and we talk about a few things that Gospel centered perspective will destroy. Gospel-centered perspective destroys: Our desire to be right // Our desire to have control // Our desire to be praised. 

6.15.22 Weekly Recap.  We look at the second part of I Corinthians chapter 1, and we discuss how Gospel-centered perspective changes our relationships.

6.8.22 Weekly Recap We start a new series this week, and we're talking about Gospel-Centered Perspective. Gospel centered perspective makes us thankful: for God's grace in our lives, for chances to grow, and for chances to glorify God.  How we see things matters. Our perspective will largely determine the type of person we become.  Let's have a Gospel-Centered Perspective. 

5.25.22 Weekly Recap  We look at the end of Luke chapter 18, and we see a blind man who was healed and "immediately followed Jesus and glorified God." We look at 3 simple, practical qualities of a follower. 

From Kyle Idleman's book "Not A Fan" we begin a 2 week mini-series on this exact idea: ARE YOU A FAN, OR ARE YOU A FOLLOWER? We looked at the rich young ruler with some of these thoughts in mind: Fans are passionate, but they misplace priorities. Misplaced passion leads to pride, and misplaced priorities lead to pain.  Only following Jesus brings lasting joy. 

Weekly Recap 5.11.22  We finished out our "Greater" series looking at Jesus example of GREATER LOVE. Greater love asks "Who can I help?" instead of "What can I get?" 

5.4.22 Weekly Recap.  Ephesians chapter 3 ends saying that God is able to do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think..." He is going to do GREATER THINGS.... and He's going to do them through us!  We study that out this week. 

4.28.22 Weekly Recap.  I John 4:4 is a popular verse for encouragement, but this week we dove into the context of what it truly means. The enemy's greatest weapon against us is lies; however, Jesus produces in us a greater way.  Our greatest weapon against the enemy is love. 

4.20.22 Weekly Recap.  We are starting a new series on the ways that God is greater... the ways He transcends... the ways He goes beyond. This week, we look at Romans 5 and celebrate the reality of His great grace. 

3.31.22 Weekly Recap.  We look at the last statements Jesus made on the cross, as we consider Him as a conquering King - even in death. 

Wednesday Recap 3.24.22 We look two more of Jesus' statements on the cross: "My God, my God, why have You forsaken me" and "I thirst."  We talked about Jesus' purpose for suffering and sacrifice, and we asked this question: What is it in your life that is bringing you pain that God desires to bring Him glory? 

Wednesday Recap 3.17.22  We dive into the first 3 statements of Jesus, and we see His heart for others to the very end.  Do we forgive others, like Jesus prayed forgiveness over those hurting Him? Do we pull others close, like Jesus did those furthest away - like the thief on the cross?  Do we consider others, like Jesus considered His family, even in His final moments?

3.10.22 Weekly Recap.  In the weeks leading up to Easter, we will be looking at the final words of Jesus.  Transitioning from our series on leaders and into this series on the cross, we study Isaiah 53.  We see how Jesus was willing to be vulnerable and to be hurt, because Jesus knew the "Why." 

Weekly Recap 2.24.22  While Esther and Mordecai didn't show a lot of signs of personal brokenness and dysfunction, they were absolutely surrounded by it. From them, we can learn how good leaders are available, adaptable, and accountable. 

Weekly Recap 2.17.22  Peter was known as much for his flaws and his failures as his successes. He had denied Jesus. But God used Him to do incredible things for the kingdom of God.  We're going to study the parallels found in Luke 5, John 13, John 18, and John 21. 

Weekly recap 2.10.22. Moses viewed his potential to lead through the lens of insecurity, fear, and roadblocks. We're going to see how we often do the same thing.  More importantly, we'll study how we can instead choose humility, faith, and the pathway God has laid out for us.

1.5.2022 Weekly Recap -  We started our semester and series looking at Daniel 1: The head, the heart, and our identity.  DISCIPLINE AND INTENTIONALITY ARE PRODUCTS OF THE HEAD. INSPIRATION AND MOTIVATION ARE WELLSPRINGS OF THE HEART.  What does it look like for us to not just *do* something different, but to truly *be* someone different? 

While on Holiday Life Group break, we'll be doing a study that parallels the Old and New Testament, specifically surrounding the Person of Jesus. Today we look at His (and our) call to suffer, to surrender, and to be set free. 

Weekly Recap 11.4.21. We look at II Corinthians 4 to answer this question: "Why should I praise when it all seems so dark?"  This episode is a bit more vulnerable, as we consider the concept of Treasure in earthly vessels. 

Wednesday Recap 11.17.21  We wrap up our series in II Corinthians answering the question "Why should I praise when I can't get victory?"  The church faced some external battles, but Paul encouraged them to win those battles first in the mind... We talked about what it looks like to take every thought captive and into obedience of Christ.

Weekly Recap 10.20.21 We wrap up the "One Another" series with a very abbreviated overview of I Thessalonians 5.  Comfort yourselves and edify one another, respect those that lead you, warn those that are unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, and be patient toward all men.
