Today Wendy and Shelley have a casual chit-chat with Mikaela Shiffrin's coach, Jeff Lackie.  Ever wonder how and what it takes to win and keep winning? Why the switch to speed? Who makes the decisions? What decisions are made? Does winning become boring? Does she really work that hard or is it just pure talent? We asked and now we know so could you know. 

Today Wendy and Shelley talk to expert timer Mike Walker (local - World Cup timer) about how athletes can gain the system to their advantage. They also ask what can right and wrong in timing (cough, cough Crans-Montana anyone?), what is timing, and how to time.  Wendy and Shelley also trade snippy remarks and Mike casually listens to two friends insult each other.  Correction:  In the pod we say C...

We find out what FIS says about the cheater Stefan Luitz...he's not a cheater?  Why? Wendy and Shelley wrap up Andorra and we find out just how much Shelley cares about Hirscher (not as much as you might think). 

Shelley dumps Kristoffersen and Wendy takes him instead. We go over the speed side of finals in Andorra and rant about being uninvited to things.  

Happy International Women's Day!   Shelley gives an in depth look at the course in Kvitfjell and Wendy gives us the low down on the overall results.  No one talks about the women's results in Russia but Shelley does get her hand bitten by an 8 week old puppy. 

What happened to the timing in Crans Montana?  What happens when people gripe about double cross blocking? What happens when FIS says that they don't want to put on 2 cancelled GS races because they say they're broke?  We don't have the answer to all of these questions but we have an opinion on all of them!

Shelley enjoys the fruits of the Norwegian Team and Wendy tries desperately to love a bronze medal (the second fastest loser).  The twosome analyze and give props to some solid results in DH/AC/and team events as World Champs continue in Sweden. 

How much money have the top purse winners made so far?  What is going on in Åre for world champs?  Shelley mangles everyones names with Wendy and they get into the spirit of world champs discussing Alpine, SkiX, and Para. 

Wendy now demands chocolate deliveries and coffee deliveries while making fun of rookies at the Kitz Super G.  We talk overall standings for men and thank Robert for the Swiss chocolate. 

Wendy talks about herself some more and we congratulate Bulgaria for an amazing finish at Kitz.  In Ontario the duo inspect and analyze all things skiX and interview Marielle Thompson, Brady Leman, Fanny Smith, and CHONGI!  #gochongi #chongiandthesmokers #bigairmar 

Wendy wants her coffee delivered in bed and we recap the exciting race in Kitz and the not so exciting day at Blue Mtn.  Brady Leman's parents chat with us and we give a shout out to some CAST alumni. :)     

We talk about Stefan Luitz (GER) being stripped of his Beaver Creek standing for cheating. Wendy gloats about her new God while Shelley rolls her eyes. Results from last week and a glimpse of the past to see what the the future holds.

We try out a new mic and will never use it again...Wendy and Shelley figure out Xmas and are both pretty clueless on how to celebrate it.  Shelley has had the flu so Wendy fills her in on how the men and women kind of raced the same track but didn't at all.  Wendy wants into Innerhofer's downhill suit...

Wendy upgrades her Xmas lights and Shelley has to look up the rules for parallel SL.  Both are comforted by the fact that a few of the White Circus coaches also have to brush up on this. Shelley and Weirather part ways - it's for the best.  Schiffrin and Hirscher surprise absolutely no one. 

Birds of Prey and Lake Louise.  Wendy and I interview fans, coaches, and athletes as we go through the weekends events! 

Shelley gloats about being right, Wendy takes it badly and is reminded about missing the last gate at the Olympics.  Para gets on it's way. Last Sunday is reviewed and we go over some of our favourites. 

Wendy wins an arm wrestling match. Shelley loses her voice.  Wendy loses it when discussing Innerhofer and explains to us all the technical events require technical skiing. 

Wendy and Shelley are reunited face to face for this week as they bring you ski racing news from Lake Louise. Yeah!
