God Wants To Talk To You

Today we read from John Chapter 2 about the Wedding at Cana and talk about all the things that story points to as it is registered as the first miracle preformed by Jesus that kicked off his ministry. We also discuss if it is proof of the intercession of Mary to Jesus when we are praying and give the flip side of that coin that some Christians believe.

Today we read from the Gospel of John and Luke about Roman Centurion Soldiers who had great faith in Jesus. One goes on to become a Catholic Saint and his story is NOT in the Bible but I will tell it you from historical Context and things written in the time.

Today we read from Matthew Chapter 8 about Jesus healing two men possessed by demons that had been terrorizing a town and the response he gets from the town locals after doing that. Makes us reflect on are we willing to give up everything to follow him?

Today we read Scripture from all over the new and old Testaments about praying. When to pray , how to pray, how often to pray, what to pray about, To repeat prayers and more. All the answers are in the Bible we just need to read it.

Today we read from St. Pauls letter to the Philippians Chapter 1 Where he talks about being thankful for his fellow Christians in the Church. We also read about Paul's instruction to have Gratitude and always rejoice in the Lord even in our difficult times. Then we close with a great writing from St. Francis about being grateful for everything God has created.

Today we read from Romans Chapter 10 and give you context of the time it was written and what was going on in Rome with the early Christians who were a mix of Jews and Gentiles and had some cultural differences that Paul was trying to get rid of so they could all except their Salvation was in Faith In Christ.

Today Michael tells us of the Origins of The Feast of Corpus Cristi and then reads from the Book of John about how Jesus told the people about the Holy Eucharist and how it initially went over like a ton of bricks.

Today we read from The Gospel of John about Jesus voluntarily laying down his life for our sins and for the Will of the father. Then we look at the moment he died. He proclaimed it is finished then Gave up his spirit. Did he die by succumbing to his injuries? Or did he finish his work here and on his terms separate his soul from his human body?

Today We read all of John Chapter 8 and listen to Jesus explaining to the Jewish leaders who he is, who sent him. W also explain some of the Old Testament references he makes and the timeline of some of the things he talks about.

Today we read from John Chapter 8 when Jesus was in the temple and the pharisees brought in a woman guilty of adultery to ask Jesus if they should stone her. Instead he was ignoring them initially and writing on the ground. What was he writing ? We have some insight to what it may have been and it was not Good for the woman saccusers.

Today we read from the Book of Acts about The Pentecost and the beginning of the Church. Why is it called Pentecost? As all things with Jesus and God it has a LOT of Old Testament, Old Covenant meaning behind it.

Today we read from the Book of Numbers and Deuteronomy about Moses not being allowed to take the Israelites in to the Promise land and the coincidence that the guy who did was named Joshua.

Today we read from the Gosepl of John about Jesus telling the religious leaders he is the Good Shepherd. Then we break down that talk from John Chapter 10 and explain what he is saying and look at Ezekiel Chapter 34 where he gives a very detailed breakdown of God Himself through King David becoming the Good Shepherd of his people after the Religious leaders have failed to protect them.

Today we read from the Book of Acts and how Peter and the Other Apostles become very Bold in their preaching after being filled with the Holy Spirit once Jesus ascended in to Heaven. Just a few weeks after being terrified that they were going to be the next ones rounded up by the Jewish Leaders they come out and preach and tell the people of Israel to Repent and be Baptized.
