Girl Meets Show

There may not be a lot in common between Netflix's Marriage Story and HBO's Watchmen... but they do both have hot husbands and that was enough for us! 

Yes, you read that right—we watched another season of Amazon Prime's original series Mrs. Maisel, despite being frustrated with its 2nd season, and we might actually have some nice things to say about it?? We still have plenty of critiques of course, but did Mrs. Maisel redeem herself in our eyes? You better listen and find out.

Did Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show make our hearts grow 3 sizes? Is the meaning of Christmas a pink glittery Gucci outfit? If we can't have Dan Levy narrate the TV show of our lives... who would we choose? Listen up, and get ready for some Christmas cheer!

This week we watched the Hulu Original Dollface, and now we want everyone we know to watch it! In honor of Thanksgiving, we also create our dream Friendsgiving guest list and pick our TV boyfriends to take home to meet the parents.

This week we discuss the first and second seasons of the Netflix original series “The End of the F***ing World”! We have a spoiler-free discussion of season 1 and the show in general (10:42) before diving into some s1 spoilers but still not spoiling anything for season 2 (17:44). We live to serve and not spoil unless it’s absolutely necessary!!

It's a Netfilx double feature week as we discuss Living With Yourself (12:35) and The King (19:31). We will tell you if Paul Rudd's hair or Timothée Chalamet's cheekbones are worth the watch. 

Since it's Halloween this week, we decided to face our greatest fear: LOVE!! We discuss Jenny Slate's Netflix special "Stage Fright" (16:56) and the first season of Amazon's new series "Modern Love" (21:41). We also rank the TV relationships we would be TERRIFIED to be part of (01:33)! Listen up...if you dare!!!

It's spooky season, and we are talking all our favorite streaming Halloween shows. We also watched the Hulu original Little Monsters, which inspired us to choose our own team of zombie fighters.  

This week we watched the new Breaking Bad movie El Camino (10:59), season 1 of The Righteous Gemstones (17:01), and the season 2 finale of Succession (25:25)! We don’t spoil El Camino or Righteous Gemstones, but we DO discuss spoilers of Succession s2, so don't say we didn't warn ya!!

It's our 50th episode!! Things get exciting this week as we discuss our differing opinions on the latest Netflix original series "The Politician," and we have the most dramatic Top 3 in Girl Meets Show history!

WE ARE BACK FROM OUR BREAK and we couldn't be happier about it! We both watched a LOT of shows, new and old, while we were on our summer hiatus, and we can't wait to tell you all about them.

This week, we report back on our independent study assignments: Taylor watched the new HBO show "Los Espookys," and Jordyn watched the new season of "Veronica Mars" on Hulu! We also give each other some new assignments to watch during our upcoming month off.

We are in a Monterey state of mind today as we discuss which TV cities we would live in and Big Little Lies season 2. So show maybe you should show women a little respect and listen up!

We watched all non-fiction content this week: Aziz Ansari’s new Netflix special “Right Now” (18:07) and the HBO documentary “I Love You Now Die” (31:42), both of which prove that sometimes real life is much more dramatic and traumatizing than fiction.

We are taking you into the upside down to share all of our thoughts and feelings on Stranger Things season 3. All things spoiler free... until 37:01 that is. 

This week it's all about the FX miniseries everyone's been raving about, "Fosse/Verdon," and turns out everyone was right: it's AMAZING and we can't stop talking about it--especially Michelle Williams' performance.

We spent the week with Amazon Prime. We got some good and bad vibes from Good Omens, but it was all happiness while watching the Jonas Brothers documentary Happiness Begins. 

This week we watched the latest season of Black Mirror on Netflix (21:09) and the first season of What We Do in the Shadows on FX (31:33)—we hated one of them and loved the other, and even we were surprised at our reactions! We also have fun ranking our top 3 Black Mirror episodes of all time (00:47).

TV is teaching us more about history than school ever did! Cry with us as we discuss Chernobyl on HBO and When They See Us on Netflix. 

We had a lot of fun watching and discussing season 2 of Killing Eve (11:18) and the new Netflix original romcom Always Be My Maybe (19:25) this week! We keep it spoiler-free af so listen up even if you haven’t watched them yet. And then go watch them because they’re both great.
