RESTORATION God provides rest and healing in times of hardship through submission and obedience to Him. We tend to only want to go as far as we are comfortable, but God is calling us further for our own benefit.

OMNIPOTENCE: THE ALL POWERFUL GOD God reveals His power throughout Scripture so that we can take our minds off of our circumstances and limitations, and so that will place our trust in Him.

Exodus 1 Seeing God in the Journey OMNIPRESENCE: THE INVISIBLE GOD ACTIVE IN OUR MIDST God is present everywhere, always engaged and acting on behalf of the Church. Even if we can’t see or feel it, Jesus promised He is with us. [Matthew 28:20]

TRUE WORSHIP God speaks through Isaiah one last message to all who profess faith in Jesus to repent from false worship and practice true worship. We all need this today.

Main Idea: In the midst of a breaking and broken world, we find strength and hope in the fact that God is still saving people.

LONGING AND LAMENTING IN PRAYER After proclaiming God’s desire for revival, Isaiah desires it deeply. Isaiah is now praying, and his words go from longing for revival, to lamenting how God’s people are not ready. Our prayers today need must become like Isaiah’s prayer. A KING DRENCHED IN BLOOD Isaiah proclaims the Eternal Kingdom of Jesus, calling us out of exile into a renewed Creation. The cost of bringing this Kingdom, and defeating evil on Earth, is a blood-soaked Jesus.

THE CHURCH IN ACTION As Christians we struggle to “live” our faith. We have wrongly viewed our faith as “personal” (just between God and ourselves). God calls us to be a corporate body of faith and to make an impact on the world. For more information, please visit https://genfamily.church.

Isaiah 57 REVIVAL REQUIRES REPENTANCE God would love nothing more than to shower out His presence and power on those who profess to follow Jesus. Isaiah says that it is us who are often in the way. REVIVAL FOR GOD’S PEOPLE God proclaims incredible blessings for His people, but only after revival takes place in His people. God again calls us to care for others who cannot care for themselves. A life of faith is a new life entirely. Many people simply add Christianity to whatever prior beliefs and actions they had, thinking that adding a bit of Jesus is what is necessary. God calls us to reorient everything to Him. Nothing remains the same. God becomes King.

Isaiah 54-55: “A Barren Woman, a lonely Wife, and a Poor City" Isaiah gives three images about salvation: a barren woman given a family, a lonely wife whose marriage is restored, and a poor city made wealthy and secure, all showing the power of God to transform lives completely.

PROPHECY: NEAR AND FAR IN ISAIAH Isaiah proclaims events that will take place in his day, as well as find their complete fulfillment in Jesus. As he proclaims judgment and victory, the people in his day will see both, but they will anticipate a more full conclusion in Christ.

Isaiah 36-27

God calls people of faith to live differently than the rest of the world. Christians are to ask ourselves how influenced by the world we are, and how we need to return to God in faith.

PARABLE OF A VINEYARD God uses a parable about a vineyard to teach the people of God about their obedience. Instead of healthy growth, God’s people are often like rotten fruit.

PALM SUNDAY CALLS US TO RETHINK OUR FAITH People wanted Jesus to conquer Rome, instead He died on a cross and the crowd and left Him. Do we trust God in trials and believe His plan is best?

Testing in the Bible reveals people's faith and God's character in new ways.

NOT YOUR TREASURE TO BURY: WORSHIP Christians typically worship on their own terms: give what is financially convenient, attend and serve only when nothing else interferes, and keep the gospel message to themselves. Then we wonder why God isn’t more present and powerful. Our worship must be obedient to what God has called us to.
