I can play my modular synth with a gong. I should have come up with this idea forever ago. I think it's overpowered.

Pitch entirely sequenced by the Deluge, run into the modular synth from there. The weird pitch-bent part can change every 3 beats, but the pitch is run into a Doepfer S&H. Envelope follower has a drum practice pad with a contact mic to its input, with the EF's gate output driving the S&H trigger. Pretty neat way of approaching all of this, I think.

Making intensive use of the Everlasting Glottal Stopper modular in VCV Rack. It's a hell of a nice sound source, I have got to say.

Giving Delay No More and A*B+C a spin. A*B+C seems like a really great CV utility, in addition to the somewhat more or less obvious ring modulation potential. Let's Splosh is doing... something. Like most uses of Splosh, nobody's really quite sure what it's bringing to the table, but it's magical for whatever the hell it is.

Soldered together a Befaco Chopping Kinky kit over the weekend. It sounds great, and is playing nicely with the Jupiter Spirits, which makes me quite content.

In which I use my drum practice pad as a controller for my modular setup. A contact mic near the badge of this pad is sent into Erica Synths Pico EF for further processing, and from there... the sky's the limit, really.

I figured out where I went wrong with my soldering job of NLC's Squid Axon module today. It turns out that not getting the TL074 on there quite right leads to very strange behavior in relation to the inputs. Generative modular goodness that I patched together. I find it fascinating what one can accomplish with a few chaotic circuits and a clock divider. I'm also pleased to report that surface-mount soldering is not as terrifying as one would expect.

Testing the possibilities of clock divider + Numberwang in VCV Rack. Instant success. Added reverb. Recorded. Some sploshing is involved.

Playing around with VCV Rack. I'm very happy that some of Nonlinear Circuits' modules are available in virtual form, so you can really just try to do wild stuff. Patch has 4 sine oscillators, no filters, four EGs being spastically triggered by Numberwang, and LFOs driving Statues, which in turn drives Numberwang strange directions.

I think I might actually doze off if I listen to any more of this tonight. I think that means it's working. One fresh synth patch created on the HydraSynth. This one isn't made for arpeggiator mode.
