As a woman, you can become “the type” of individual you want to be— creative, strong, wise, empowered, independent. This is a reading of Sarah Kay’s “The Type,” for all the women out there.

All roads lead us somewhere. This year, we are taking new roads that will bring us to greater heights. And so, let's begin again.

As humans, we fall many times because of our limited capacities. And no matter how eager we are to avoid it, we continue the habit of falling for that little sense of freedom.

In this episode break, I read a poem written by Jeffrey Mcdaniel entitled “The Quiet World”. It portrays a fictional place where people’s words are compressed to a 167 word limit per day. When silence and distance rule, every word counts. How would you spend yours?

The idea of tomorrow has always brought us a sense of new beginnings. We fell in love with the image of the sun and the act of chasing sunrises. But today’s reality tells us that tomorrow is not promised. It’s okay if you feel tired of this chasing or if you settle in the darkness for now. But please stay—life is still here after dark.

It’s been a chaotic start for 2020. And just like that, we’re on the 6th month of the year, feeling wasted, less achieved, and living with hatred. Have we loved enough? If not, have we really been living?

At some points in our lives, we will meet strangers who would accompany us in an endless walking—or at least in an attempt of it. But when we try to re-walk those visited sites, it’s never the same. We are never the same people.

It took me 4,644 steps to start the day. Those were little steps to conquer my fears of the outside. Fresh start, fighter! You are near home.

“One Meter Apart” is a piece dedicated to our sense of touch that we now have seemingly lost. The space between you and all the other people around you—stranger or acquaintance—becomes an invisible barrier.
