Today we celebrate the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Father was ordained on this feast day in the year 1983 and shares a letter Pope Benedict wrote about the Sacred Heart. Let us devote ourselves more deeply to the sacred heart of Jesus on this day.

Father talks about Saint John the Baptist, as we celebrate the feast of his birth today. John the Baptist boldly spoke the truth which eventually led to his death. Father encourages us to boldly speak the truth in our day today.

Father talks about the two saints of today’s feast day, Saint Thomas More and Bishop John Fisher. These saints, martyred at the hands of the English King, Henry VIII, show us excellent examples of having well-formed conscience. Let us follow their example and stay true to our morals.

Father talks about the Jesuit saint, Saint Aloysius Gonzaga. Born into a wealthy family Saint Aloysius renounced his inheritance to join religious life and serve the poor. Eventually this led to his death at 23 when he contracted a deadly disease. Let us imitate Saint Aloysius Gonzaga’s giving heart.

Father discusses how important Eucharistic adoration is for believers to help increase their love and faith in the most holy Sacrament. Father reads from Pope Francis, “Adoring God is the most effect and radical remedy against the idolatry of the past and of the present”.

Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. As Father reads some reflections from Pope Benedict about the Eucharist, he invites us to recognize Jesus present in the most holy bread and wine, and to adore the creator of the universe in this form.

Today’s Gospel reminds us not to worry about things in life, but rather be focused on the Kingdom of God. Father invites us to live one day at a time. With the saying “If you worry why pray? and if you pray why worry?” we can combat worrying with a deeper prayer life in God.

Father reads some words from Pope Francis about the intense passion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. If we really desire to love God we must be passionate about all of humanity. When we serve those who suffer we console the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Father reflects on the Sacred Heart by reading some words from Pope Francis describing the Nature of the Jesus’ Heart. As Pope Francis writes, there are three components to Jesus’ heart namely: Memory, Passion and Consolation.

Father shares his great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and explains why we should be consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, encouraging us to make our own consecration. Father invites  us to join him in making the Consecration to the Sacred Heart.

Today on Flag Day, Father talks about the origins of the United States of America’s flag as well as how the celebration of Flag Day came about.  Citing from the Catechism, Father encourages us all to have respect for the flag and country which it represents.

Father talks about Saint Anthony who's feast day is today. Father explains the story of how Saint Anthony was declared the saint of "The finder of lost articles". Just as God works through people on earth He also works through our deceased Brothers and Sisters So let’s not be afraid to ask help from the saints.

Today we celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity. Father talks about the importance of believing in the Holy Trinity even though we do not understand it. We must give up control and become like little children who believe even though they do not understand.

On this feast day of Saint Barnabas, Father talks about how he got his name which means “Son of encouragement”. Pope Benedict refers to Saint Barnabas when he spoke of working together with brothers and sisters in Christ to reconciliation.

Today Father Celebrates the ordination of his priest hood which occurred 39 years ago today. Father thanks all those who helped him through prayer to become a priest and expresses the joys he receives from being able to administer the sacraments and help people at important times in their lives.

Father talks about a saint from the early Church named Saint Ephraim. Saint Ephraim used music to spread the Gospel which began the practice of singing hymns in church.  Through his musical abilities this Saint earned the title of the “Harp of the Holy Spirit” and Father reads a song he composed relating to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Father talks about Saint John’s Gospel account of Jesus’ crucifixion and how it relates to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Father relates some words from Pope Benedict which talks about the source of the churches life which flows from the Sacred Heart.

Father talks about a man named Matt Talbot who died on this day in 1925. Matt Talbot, born in Ireland, battled alcoholism since he was a child. Father talks about how God uses our struggles in addictions to draw us closer to himself.

Father talks about one of the many titles which our Blessed Mother holds, Mary Mother of the Church. Father explains why Mary has been given this title. Since we are part of the Church, we should honor Mary as our mother also.

As we celebrate Pentecost today, we also celebrate the birthday of the Church. Even as the tongues of fire fell on the apostles on Pentecost day, we are also called to carry the light of Christ given to us at baptism and let it shine forth to the world.

Father asks us who we pray to when we pray to God. Is it God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit? Father invites us to be mindful when we are praying to God as to which person in the Trinity we are addressing.

Father Talks about 22 young men who were martyred in Uganda in the late 1880s. Father shares some words offered by Saint Pope John Paul II when he visited their grave site. We should imitate these martyrs by striving to be witness in our everyday lives.

Today we celebrate the feast days of Saint Marcellinus and Saint Peter. They died in the year AD 304. Even though the government tried to make their execution as discrete as possible, since they were well loved by the people, one of the executioners converted to Christianity and revealed the location of their bodies for a proper burial.

Father talks about Saint Justin, one of the first apologists in the Church. Saint Justin was a pagan philosopher who, after becoming Christian, defended the faith with his rhetoric. Father reads a document written my Saint Justin regarding the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Today we celebrate the feast of Mary’s visitation to Elizabeth. Father Reads a reflection from Saint John Paul II on this scene in the bible as relating to adoration in the tabernacle where we like Elizabeth Adore the hidden Jesus in the womb of the Church.
