God is not the author of your suffering. It's not in his script for your life. Tribulation and suffering are in the world, but they're not from God. If you should find yourself suffering religious persecution, God promises that He will comfort you. Times are uncertain right now. Most people expect the world to get back to normal after the Covid-19 breakout but there may be some difficult days for many people until then. As of this recording, we are still being encouraged to distance socially but that will end at some point. The government will do what they can but people will have deeper questions. As a follower of Jesus, prepare yourself to...

It’s legal for you to expect everything that is consistent with the nature and character of God. For instance, God is a healer, provider, comforter, counselor and father; it is legal for you to expect to experience God in all of those capacities. When you believe you have received everything, it will be yours. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2020/3/16/believe-you-have-received

Prayer is not magic; it just shifts your inner man back to dependence on God. Prayer is a mind-renewal process. Pray until God’s promises are believable, then don’t back down and don’t lose heart.

Prayer is a time to turn your attention to God’s transformative and powerful spirit within you and yield to the shaping of his hands in your inner man. You can not take enough baths or wash your clothes enough times to get God’s spirit inside you, only the blood of Jesus can wash you clean enough to be acceptable to interact with God. Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy or boast. It is not proud, rude, or self-seeking. It is not easily angry and keeps no record of past mistakes. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5

To Jesus, judgment is when you “look at the speck of sawdust in another person’s eye.” He says STOP IT! Don’t do that! When you look at the speck you no longer see that person, you only see the speck. The speck is whatever issue or behavior you are judging about that person. His remedy is to remove the plank in your own eye so you can see clearly to help them remove the speck from their eye. The p...

Most people just want to get their point across. We often ignore the other person but pretend we're listening. We selectively hear what we want to respond to but often miss their meaning. Most people listen with the intent to reply, not to understand. We prepare in our minds what we're going to say while they’re still speaking. WE FILTER EVERYTHING THROUGH OURSELVES. Consequently, we decide premat...

When you confess God’s word you are saying the same thing God is saying about whatever you’re confessing. You are coming into agreement with God. You are professing his wisdom, logic, promises and faithfulness over your life and circumstances. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2020/1/13/confess-the-word-of-god-to-renew-your-mind-and-be-transformed

When you remember that you’re forgiven and God has cleansed you from your sins, you are free to live untethered. From there on you have to guard your heart against the deceitfulness of riches and the cares of this world, as well as not yield your body to sin. You do so to keep your heart and conscience clear to hear and follow God’s instructions. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2020/1/13/is-your-h...

Too many Christians think they have to become better as if they’re not already complete in him and they need to become something more than they already are. More righteous, more sanctified, more holy, etc… Peter affirms that you’re already cleansed, you’re already all those things, so if you aren’t living that way, go back and affirm who you are and what he’s done. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/...

The world needs to see a group of people, Jesus followers, who are confident in the identity of God. The world, even the believing world, is starving for truth, for something to believe in. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2019/12/23/how-to-always-be-effective-and-fruitful

Life happens. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it’s an unexpected blessing, sometimes it’s an unfortunate loss. Sometimes it’s welcoming a new child into your home, sometimes it’s losing a loved one. No matter what, we have every reason to stay confident toward God, knowing that he only has good plans for us. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2019/12/16/you-dont-need-answers-you-ne...

When I think about Jesus preparing a place for us, it makes me think of his prayer “your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” It’s something he wants for us. I think about what the garden of Eden must have been like, in all its perfection. I think of what it would have been like to see Jesus transform and openly speak with Moses and Elijah. It makes me think of all the supernatural encounter...

It is absolutely vital that you know the effects of believing the Gospel, i.e. you get a new heart. You don’t have two natures fighting in you. You don’t have a black dog and a white dog barking at your heels in you. You are the righteousness of God in Christ! You are no longer a sinner by nature, you are a cleansed and justified child of the living God! https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2019/12/2/g...

Obedience from the heart pleases God. Obedience that is the fruit of a human heart responding to his love is what God wants. God is pleased with the kind of obedience that seeks to preserve the freedom he offers in Christ. God isn’t impressed with an obedience that is rooted in keeping rules, his heart is after those who have been transformed by his love and now only desire to bring glory to his n...

Kanye West is a popular rapper that just released his 9th record. This record is different than his previous records because it’s all about Jesus. In fact, the title is Jesus Is King. The record is at the top of the Billboard charts in spite of people telling Kanye a Gospel record would “kill his career.” People from all walks of life and all sections of popular culture are talking about Kanye and...

You don’t get to decide your own legacy. You set your goals, you live your life but history will judge your legacy. Funny thing is, your legacy is less about what you’ve done and more about how you treated people. Even if you’re known for what you do, it’s still judged by how what you did affected people. History will judge your legacy but God will judge your works. Your deeds and actions matter....

https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2019/10/31/feeling-each-others-pain Above all...love, it's how we'll reach the world. I pray that our love inspires action within people, action toward God and a more healthy life for themselves...

Grace is not just the power you can live from to overcome temptation and sin, it’s the power you are nourished by to live within the power of the righteousness that God gave you in Christ. He has made you the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus but his active grace in you strengthens you to live in that righteousness. https://www.clintbyars.com/blog/2019/9/30/thirsty-soul-drinks-righteousness

We don’t realize it but we make many of our decisions out of fear, especially men. We don’t necessarily feel afraid, we’re now sitting in the corner balled up biting our nails, we don’t have chills running down our spine, but we have let fear constrict our willingness to stand on God’s promises because of fear associated with responsibility. Responsibility, that’s mostly a good thing but it can ca...

May you lay down who you used to be and put on who you are now in Jesus, the righteousness of God in Christ. May you receive the wisdom that God is freely giving you and access...
