Reflect, today, on how you understand friendship. Start with your friendship with God. Do you love Him by following His commands of love? Then think about your relationships with others. Are they rooted in God’s will, in selfless love and honesty? If your friendships follow the way of God’s love, they will bring true joy now and last into eternity.

Reflect, today, on how you respond inside when you think about obeying God. Do you feel resistance? Do some commands feel hard or limiting? If so, that may be a sign that this message is exactly what your soul needs. Deep down, our hearts long for the peace that comes from living in harmony with God’s will. Reflect, today, on the powerful image Jesus gives of the vine and the branches. Picture yourself as one of those branches, firmly connected to Him. Let that image speak to your heart in prayer. God wants to do great things in you and through you. If you stay close to Him, He will fill your life with good fruit that blesses both you and others.

Reflect, today, on whether you truly feel peace in your heart. Do you sense the calm and steady presence of God within you? Do your daily choices lead to greater honesty, focus, and joy—even in the hardest moments? Search for this kind of peace, because when you do, you are seeking God Himself—the only One who can give it.

Reflect, today, on this beautiful promise Jesus made—to send the Holy Spirit to guide and remind us. Pray to the Spirit. Stay open to His gentle direction. Let God replace your fear with clarity, and trust that He will bring His words back to your heart when you need them most.

Reflect, today, on death—but try to see it as a call to live a life of love and sacrifice. The best way to prepare for a holy and peaceful death is to live with God’s love at the center of everything you do right now. The more you do that, the more you will bring glory to God, just as Jesus did.

Reflect, today, on this high calling. Consider the desire in your heart for greatness, and ask the Lord to purify and direct it. Ask Him, daily, to fulfill His perfect will in your life, and to make you an instrument of His saving work. This is the kind of greatness that never fades, the kind that brings eternal joy.

Reflect, today, on whatever causes you the most fear, anxiety, or worry. Hear Jesus’ voice, calm and firm, speaking directly to you. Let Him strengthen your heart, just as He did for the disciples. With faith, you too can endure all things—just as Jesus endured the Cross and His disciples endured theirs. Let His words bring peace to your troubled heart.

Reflect today, on Jesus’ act of humility—God Himself kneeling to serve His disciples. Imagine yourself doing the same for others. Think about how you might go out of your way to care for someone else’s needs before your own. Ask God to help you let go of selfishness and fear, so you can live with true humility. That’s when you’ll know what it means to be truly blessed.

Reflect today, on the fact that God has called you to share in His mission. You may not know exactly how or where, but you can be certain He is calling you. Be open to whatever He asks of you. Ask for the grace to follow His plan, not your own, and pray with a heart that’s united to the will of Jesus.

Reflect today, on the quiet and mysterious way God speaks to you. If you don’t yet understand how to hear Him, that’s a good place to begin. Take time with today’s Gospel. Where you see growth in virtue, that’s where His will is found. Where virtue fades, His will is not present. Listen for His voice in these ways, follow Him, and you will find the path to eternal life.

Reflect, today, upon how deeply you believe this hard saying of Jesus. The fact that it is a "hard" saying should lead you to seriously examine your own faith or lack thereof.
