Forget Me Not

Reflect, today, on your struggles. What sins weigh on your heart? Are there past sins you've never confessed? Are there habits you justify, ignore, or fear confronting? Take courage—true humility leads to freedom. Only through honest repentance can we be justified before God. 

Reflect today on what it means to truly love God with all that you are. Where do you hold back? Where do distractions or attachments prevent you from loving Him fully? Ask for the grace to surrender completely, trusting that His love will fill you beyond measure and flow through you to the world. 

Reflect today on your own openness to God's Kingdom. Is there a truth in Christ’s teaching that you resist? Are there aspects of His will that you find difficult to accept? Pray for the grace to receive God's truth with faith, allowing it to transform your heart. The Kingdom of God is always near—may we welcome it with trust and joy. 

Reflect, today, on your own call to holiness. If God's expectation of perfection seems overwhelming, remember that you are not meant to achieve it by human effort alone. Ask for the grace to understand and embrace this calling. With God’s help, what seems impossible to human reason becomes not only possible but life-giving. 

Reflect, today, on Mary’s words: "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." How is God calling you to echo this prayer in your own life? Are you willing to fully surrender to His will, even without complete understanding? Pray for the grace to trust as Mary did, offering your own fiat with a heart open to God's plan.  

Reflect, today, on the truth that any suffering or injustice you endure can be transformed for God’s glory and the salvation of souls. If He allows it, He has a purpose for it. Offer your suffering to Him with trust, knowing that through the power of the Cross, He can bring forth something far greater than the pain itself. 

Reflect, today, on the image of yourself as the fig tree and Jesus as the divine Gardener. Allow Him to cultivate your heart by deepening your love for Scripture, engaging more fully in the Sacraments, committing to daily prayer, examining your conscience sincerely, and seeking forgiveness for your sins. Reflect, today, on your own response to God's mercy. Do you rejoice when others receive blessings, even if they seem undeserved? Or do you, like the older son, hold onto resentment? True mercy goes beyond what feels fair. It calls us to celebrate healing, restoration, and the boundless love of God.

Reflect, today, on your mission to bear good fruit for God's Kingdom. This can only be done by prayerfully discerning how He is calling you to act. Seek to follow His will so that everything you do brings Him glory and helps bring souls to salvation. 

Reflect today on your own desires. The world constantly tempts us with the pursuit of wealth, security, and luxury, making it easy to forget the greater purpose of life. Reflect, today, on Peter, James, and John, first asleep, then slowly awakening to the extraordinary moment before them. Consider Peter’s excitement and awe, and how that experience ultimately led him to help build the Church. Pray for the grace to follow their example, becoming fully awake to God’s presence in your life and sharing His glory with others. 

Reflect, today, upon this high calling of love and work to foster gratitude within your heart. The Lord wants to give you an incredible gift by loving all people with His heart, including those who tempt you to anger. Love them, see them as God's children, and allow God to draw you into the heights of perfection to which you are called.

Reflect, today, upon the person who comes to mind with whom you need to fully reconcile and rekindle a relationship of love. Pray for this grace, commit yourself to it, and look for opportunities to do so. Do it without reserve and you will never regret your decision.

Reflect, today, on how you pray. Do you approach God with trust, surrendering the outcome to His perfect will? Do you humbly accept that only He knows what is truly best for you? If so, then your prayer will always be answered, perhaps not in the way you expect, but always in the way that leads you closer to Him. 

Reflect, today, on the sign God has already given you. If you find yourself waiting for some undeniable proof of His presence, look no further than the crucifix. In Jesus' suffering and death, you will see the greatest act of love ever known. Follow Him by dying to sin, entering the tomb with Him, and allowing Him to bring you into new life this Lent. 

Reflect, today, on the ‘Our Father’,  and its profound meaning. Familiarity can sometimes make us recite it without thought, reducing it to empty words. Reflect today on Levi’s response to Jesus. If Christ were to walk past you and say, “Follow me,” what would you need to leave behind? Are you willing to say “Yes” without conditions? Imitate Levi’s courage, and trust that what Jesus offers is always far greater than what you leave behind.

Reflect today on how fasting and self-denial can help you grow spiritually. What are the desires or habits that keep you from focusing entirely on God? By embracing sacrifice, we make room for the Holy Spirit to lead us.

In our own lives, it’s easy to mistake selfish desires for love. But real love requires sacrifice. Reflect today on Jesus’ determination to suffer and die for us. His love never wavered. Can we learn to love with the same selflessness? 

Take time today to reflect on your greatest spiritual struggle. What keeps you from God? Which temptation do you need to confront this Lent? Identify it, embrace its cure, and trust that “your Father who sees in secret will repay you.”
