Forged through Faith
Life is messy. God is faithful. We’re three ordinary guys trying to follow Jesus in the middle of work, marriage, kids, struggles, and everything real life throws at us. No polish, no pretending — just honest conversations about being husbands, fathers, and disciples who get it wrong plenty but keep chasing Christ anyway. We dig into theology, culture, and whatever topics God puts in front of us, sharing our experiences, our failures, and what we’re learning along the way. We’re not chasing fame — just hoping our conversations help someone else walk a little closer with Jesus.

Episode Fourteen: The One Where Pastor Brad Patterson Walks Us Through the Vote, the Word, and the Weirdness 29.06.2026 1:48:52
Episode 14 is in the books, and this one gets into the weeds in the best way. We had the privilege of sitting down with our pastor, Brad Patterson over at FBC Lavon to talk through the SBC: what it is, what it does, why it matters, and why the recent conversation around women in church leadership has stirred up so much debate. We discuss the proposed amendment vote, how Brad voted, why he voted th...
Episode Thirteen: The One Where We Get Naked 15.06.2026 59:09
Adam hid behind fig leaves. We hide behind everything else. From Genesis to the Cross, the Bible tells one story: humanity running from God and God pursuing humanity anyway. In this episode, we'll unpack Jesus' command to deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Him and why the self we're protecting might be the very thing keeping us from the life we're looking for. The first...
Episode Twelve: The One Where Idolatry Didn't Disappear...It Just Got Better Marketing 01.06.2026 1:35:01
What if idolatry didn't disappear... what if it just got better marketing? In this episode, we compare the idols of Scripture with the ones we still chase today. While most of us aren't melting gold and building calves, we're often just as willing to give our attention, affection, and trust to things that were never meant to sit on the throne of our hearts. We unpack why humans keep re...
Episode Eleven: The One Where Tradition Became the Gospel 18.05.2026 56:20
This week we stepped directly into the minefield of church tradition. From the Pharisees and the Corban loophole to indulgences, veneration, worship wars, legalism, and modern cultural Christianity, we talked about what happens when traditions slowly become more important than the Gospel itself. But before Protestants get too comfortable throwing stones at Catholics, we also held up the mirror to...
Episode Ten: The One Where Nobody Told Me I’d Still Be This Bad at Being a Christian 04.05.2026 1:41:20
I didn’t expect following Jesus to still feel like this much of a fight. We went in planning to talk about struggle and ended up saying the stuff most people keep to themselves. What it feels like when you keep falling into the same things. When getting back up feels exhausting. When you start wondering if you should be further along by now. And yeah, we said it out loud. Sometimes it feels like p...
Episode Nine: The One Where We Almost Stay on Topic 20.04.2026 1:04:24
Biblical friendship isn’t just grabbing coffee and calling it accountability. It’s costly. It’s honest. It’s the kind of friendship that shows up when things get messy. In this episode, we break down what real, biblical friendship actually looks like—our responsibility to one another, why being rooted in the church body matters more than people think, and how iron actually sharpens iron (spoiler:...
Episode Eight: The One Where a Man Steps Up 30.03.2026 1:46:54
Episode 8 isn’t your typical conversation… it’s one that hits close to home. We sit down with Devin Dowdy as he pulls back the curtain on what’s really driving him: faith, conviction, and a willingness to stand up when it counts. No fluff, no scripted answers-just an honest look at leadership in our schools, our community, and the political space around it. If you’ve ever wondered who’s shaping th...
Episode Seven: The One Where We Step Off In It 18.03.2026 1:26:44
Yeah… we went there. In this episode, we step straight into the tension of politics and faith. No sidestepping, no pretending it’s not messy. What does it actually look like to engage in politics as a Christian without losing your identity in Christ? Is voting just a civic duty, or is it something deeper? And how do you hold to biblical convictions in a world that seems to reward outrage more than...
Episode Six: The One Where We Explore the Rabbit Holes 02.03.2026 1:26:46
What actually happens when you stop skimming Scripture and start digging? In this episode, we riff through how we personally study the Bible, the questions we ask, the cross-references that send us down unexpected paths, and why slowing down in God’s Word changes everything. This isn’t a step-by-step lecture; it’s an honest conversation about learning to study, getting stuck, following connections...
Episode Five: The One Where Sanctification Shows Up and We Pretend to Know What’s Happening 17.02.2026 1:12:07
In this episode, we dive into sanctification, what it really looks like, how we grow in it, and how the Holy Spirit works in us (He is a person, not an “it”). We explore the daily realities of being transformed, how God shapes our hearts, and how this process impacts our responses to the brokenness around us. Politics and the state of the world are discussed as examples of things that feel overwhe...
Episode Four: The One Where Small Things Matter 02.02.2026 1:12:20
This episode digs into how works flow out of faith , not as a scoreboard for God but as a natural response to His grace. We talk about what obedience actually looks like in real life — sharing the gospel, giving away Bibles, and doing small, quiet things that feel insignificant in the moment. There’s a tension we all face between wanting our faith to matter and realizing God rarely calls us to be...
Episode Three: The One Where We Respond to Grace 19.01.2026 59:39
We’ve all heard “saved by grace through faith” — but what does that actually look like in real life? We open up about our own paths to Jesus, the moments that broke us, and how grace met us there. This isn’t churchy theory; it’s raw stories, honest questions, and a reminder that salvation is a gift, not a performance.
Episode Two: The One Where We All Messed Up and Why the Cross Matters 22.12.2025 1:16:10
Man introduced sin into the world, and everything broke—creation, relationships, and us. Life hurts, and we feel it every day. But God is good , and He didn’t leave us there. In this episode, we explore God’s incredible mercy and grace, and how He made a way back to Himself through Jesus. No one is excluded. No one is too far gone.
Episode One: The One Where We Try Not to Mess This Up. 04.12.2025 49:18
