Our faith and light are going to be tested. This is a part of being here on this earth. Sometimes when we are nothing but good a trial comes in that really tests our faith. Fear of the Lord is interesting. 2 Timothy 1:7 says that God hasn't given us the spirit of fear, so how could fear be a good thing? I believe that fear in this context is more about reverence, confidence in God's infinite ability to keep eternal promises, and hope than what we may think of as fear. I dove into this thought for a bit, using Proverbs 1:7 to help frame the conversation.

The Lord is mighty to help you escape temptation at any time. He can warn you of things that are going to come into your path a long time before they do. Another thought that has been a blessing for me recently.

Had this insight recently from reading in Jonah and it blew me away! Thought I would share.

God will ALWAYS keep His promises, even if it takes a really long time. The Lord will NEVER send you on a wild goose chase. Everything He does is for a purpose and He sees your infinite potential with crystal-clear clarity. He wants to help all of us see ourselves more how He sees us.
