First Issues Weekly

It's a short week to be certain, but hey, two days before I'm late on the next week is doing great. I don't think any comic made me rant so I guess that means this was a good week in comics! 

It's a short week, but hey, it means that I'm actually pretty good on maybe not being late next week. We can only hope.  Shockingly, Marvel didn't throw out anything really bad, Dynamite was awesome, Image was awesome, Madcave and Coffin were awesome. All great books this week!

Not a lot of comics, but they were all mostly great with some minor ranting here and there. Mostly here. 

Yes, the garage roof has me backed up BUT I've now got three days to read the books for next week so I may actually have caught up if there isn't a massive dump of comics from a certain company that will have me go insane. That'd be craaazy. 

Yeah, So this is a bit later than I anticipated but still. All the comics from last week!

Okay, it's not the most comics I've ever done, but honestly, nothing that was terrible so that's a plus. Plus a couple that really throw the week's average up. 

Wow, I got this out on the Wednesday it was actually supposed to. SWEET!  A lot of great comics out this week! Personal fave may go to GOOD AS DEAD, but COWBOYS OF MOO MESA is also up there.

Long story short, it was a mixed bag of a week. The good was great but the bad... made me a bit more ranty than usual. 

Yes, yes. We've got new Batman, bad Spider-Man, some fantastic zombies, and more this week. It was an okay week. Sorry about being late with it.  Sammi's Pick is Star Trek Voyager Homecoming. 

Oh it was a hell of a week, but hey, I technically got everything out before midnight... on the west coast. Still counts! Yes, I feel like I was overly harsh on Masterminds, and I feel I wasn't harsh enough on Nemesis. Another slightly short week. One controversial issue, but otherwise eally good week. I'd say another must reads are the Space Ghost v2 #1 and Cemetery Kids Run Rabid, although that Red Skul BOTBG issue was pretty good. And of course Uncle Scrooge is great too. ITS ALL GOOD outside that one ignoreable book. 

A short week, but also a fantastic one, with a couple duds but most of them only duds because this isn't a longterm sort of review channel. Still awesome. Top picks I would definitely say is ANCESTRAL RECALL and ORLA! for two very different reasons. 

Fifteen comics covered this week, I know I skipped one or two but Kal-El-Fornia Love was just one step too far for me. 

Another week of awesomeness. A lot of comics that are worth reading. I can't say a personal pick but at the same time, SPACE GHOST has been on my pull list since last year so I may be a smidge bias.  Also, new segment called SAMMI'S PICK! I have my co-host and producer Sam Rossi pick a comic and read it and give a little review. This time it's on Thundercats/Powerpuff Girls #1.  So yeah, check out...

The first issues of July 9, 2025 were mostly great. There were some minor less than stellar comics but overall, hot damn.  The winner (which means very little because it's all awesome) would probably be Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring #1 BUT I will also say that Toxic Avenger Comics or Archie Meets Jay and Silent Bob are pretty top tier too. 

First Issues Weekly begins with a compilation of all the brand new #1 issues that came out for July 2, 2025.  While there's some fantastic hits with Marvel (Godzilla Vs. Thor), the indie scene takes the coveted Best Firsty of the Week with a tie between Gehenna: Naked Aggression and Sisterhood: A Hyde St. Story!
