First Eps

This week we watched the First Ep of the new Netflix series The Chair starring Sandra Oh as the chair of the Literature department of a college. We talk all about the First Ep as well as our favorite movies and TV shows set in the world of education...turns out I have a lot of favorites set in and about school.

This week we watched the First Ep of the new Hulu series Nine perfect Strangers, which we find out is not a reboot of the 1986 classic sitcom Perfect Strangers. We still had a blast talking about the show as well as taking a look ahead to some of the biggest new shows coming out in the next 2 months. [Still have the Perfect Strangers theme stuck in my head...such a great song!]

This week we checked out the First Ep of the new Disney + Marvel series What If… We have a lot of fun talking about the show as well as going through some crazy ideas for What Ifs, real and fake.

This week we watched the new FX on Hulu series American Horror Stories and talk about the First Ep. [Spoilers for Ep 1] We then talk about the top 30 Horror TV Shows of all time! This episode is full of latex, and a ton of recording issues. We apologize for the audio issues, and hope you still enjoy this episode!

This week we talk about the new animated Netflix series Masters of the Universe: Revelation. We go over the first episode and then talk about the reaction it’s getting from the internet. We also talk about the top 20 cartoons from the 80s and which were our favorites.

We're back from our hiatus to discuss this nightmare fuel reality dating show Sexy Beasts. This week we are joined by our resident Reality show expert and professional travel blogger Jess as we discuss this crazy new Netflix series as well as all our favorite reality shows.

This week on First Eps we go back to 1985 for another Retro Rewind! This time we watched the First Ep of The Golden Girls. We have a super fun discussion about everything Golden Girls, the gay butler Coco, Sophia’s stroke, the girls sexual escapades, it’s all here!! Thank you for being a friend!

For this week’s show we watched the First Ep of the new Disney + series The Mysterious Benedict Society. We talk all about the episode and take a look at other shows/movies with groups of kids trying to save the day. Which is your favorite? Goonies? Lost Boys? 3 Ninjas?!!

This week on First Eps we talk about the latest Apple TV+ series Physical, starring Rose Byrne. We also have a great conversation about the biggest movies and music that came out of 1981

This week on First Eps we talk about the amazing first episode of Loki. We then go into a fun discussion about time travel movies and where and when we would go if we had the ability.

This week on First Eps we chat about the brand new Netflix series Sweet Tooth. We watched the super cute, sad and exciting First Episode and have a lot to say about it. We also use this show as an excuse to eat a bunch of candy bars. We have a candy bar showdown in which we eat, compare and rank 8 candy bars. Get ready for lots of me talking with a mouthful of nougat!

This week, on a very special episode of First Eps, we change things up and talk about the Friends Reunion. We know, it’s not a First Episode but we had both watched it and we really wanted to talk about it! We talk all about the show and the actors as well as discuss what shows deserve their own reunion. This one was a little different but definitely a lot of fun!

This week on First Eps we talk about the new Peacock comedy series Girls5Eva. We then have a discussion about the best One Hit Wonders from the late 90s/00s. This is a super fun one you definitely won’t want to miss! What are you waiting 5?!?

In our Season 2 premiere we talk about the First Ep of the new Netflix Superhero show Jupiter’s Legacy. We also chat about what’s next from writer Mark Millar as well as go through a list of the top 10 best Comic Book based TV shows. Season 2 is shaping up to be a the best season since Season 1!

Time for some awards!! Through the first season of First Eps we watched 12 new series and for our season finale episode we thought it would be fun to do an awards show to recognize our favorite (and least favorite) shows and moments. We also chat about the shows we’ve continued watching and what’s next for the First Eps Podcast.

This week we watched the First Ep of the new Netflix Fantasy series Shadow & Bone. This series is based on a popular trilogy of YA novels, so, in addition to our discussion of the first episode we also talk about the rare movie or TV series that outshines the book it’s based off of.
