In our message this week looking at some Faces About the Cross, we will encounter some of the most horrible, heartless liars that ever lived. It is difficult to understand how people can simply throw others under the bus when they know that they too are to blame. But that’s the nature of sinful man; say anything rather than admit guilt.

Judas was one of Jesus' followers yet he betrayed the Lord. He was there from the beginning, witnessing the miracles and the coming kingdom but he sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. What can we learn from the life of Jesus? That our hope is built on the blood of Jesus.

As we continue to journey through this series, we are encountering all kinds of normal people and how have been confronted by Jesus. Today we look at a man who at first was somewhat timid but eventually learned to take a bold step of faith.

At the crucifixion of Jesus, many came out to mourn the loss of Christ. But is there more to the story? What if our mourning turns to joy?

What happens when you are at your end and you call out for Jesus? Will he hear you and answer you? The answer is yes, even when Jesus was on the cross. What a plea for grace!

What happens when faced with the choice to follow Jesus? Would you believe in Him and follow? Or would you succumb to the pressures around you? Today we take a look at one of the thieves on the cross and his reaction to Jesus.

We judge by results. Efforts, dreams, longing, these don't count. What counts is delivering the goods. But when God judges, He does not look so much at what is in our hands as to what is in our hearts. (Matthew 27:45-50)

There's not a whole lot we know about Pontius Pilate. He's a somewhat unknown figure in history, however the gospels reveal his part in the cross of Christ. But what can we learn about this man, ourselves and Jesus? Join our Youth Pastor Shaun as he recalls this account.
