Feeling Adopted

As tiny newborns no one asked our opinions as they were deciding our families and futures so why then are adoptees the ones who have to protect the feelings of all the ‘adults’ involved in the process? Seems a little backwards to me. In my opinion it’s time we release the guilt and allow ourselves to have curiosity about who we are and where we came from.

I’m back after a much needed mental recharge to talk about my feelings around coming out of the fog and what that means for me. And I don’t even swear in this one!

It’s always uninvited and super rude. It sneaks in and tells lies. Let’s talk about it and see if we can kick it the eff out!!

In this episode I share what I’ve learned about this terrible hunk of time in the way too recent history of Canada. This happened, and still is happening all over the world but here’s a tiny peek into the subject to get us all started. I really wanted to name this one “Scoop There It Is” because I think I’m pretty funny and as we all know I use humour to cope.

No it’s not my birthday but I ramble on about it anyway. So many adoptees have negative feelings surrounding birthday and that’s what I ramble on about in this episode.
